A Typical Romance (Continuation of Quite The Week)

Chapter 6

"Dude, they're here!" Saige yells to you as your in the bathroom fixing your hair one last time. Your hair is in two small Dutch braids on top of your head that turn into two small buns, and the rest of your hair is curled. Saige is wearing one of her favorite beanies with her hair in two dutch braids. Both of you are done up and ready for the night. Chase and Tyler walk up to the door and ring the doorbell. Both you and Saige open the door wide. "Hey guys!" You say. Tyler is wearing his polo shirt and Chase is wearing his long sleeve Hollister shirt that looks so good on him in your opnion. Both Tyler and Chase look at you guys and their jaws nearly drop.

"Hey you look great, both of you," Tyler says.

"Thanks," Saige blushes lightly. The four of you all get into Chase's car and drive to the skating rink. Seeing the look on Chase's face when he saw you made you feel so warm inside.

All of you arrive at the ice rink and Chase holds your hand. "You look great by the way," he whispers.

"Aww thanks. You do too! I love that shirt on you," you say back.

After getting your skates, the four of you walk over to a bench to put your skates on, and set down your things. "Can I help you with that?" Chase asks you as you struggle to put your skates on.

"Yes please, I can skate but not put skates on apparently," you laugh.

The four of you walk over to the rink and step onto the ice. You grab Chase's hand to stop you from falling right when you step on, and the others laugh. Chase and Saige then get on the ice and notice Tyler seems sort of nervous.

"What's wrong dude?" Chase asks him.

"Oh it's nothing... but I've actually never skated before," he says shyly.

"Well that's okay, I'm not too great at it either. You can stick with me as I hang on to the wall for a while," Saige says. Chase winks at you and you smile back.

You're not too good at first too. "Hey I'll be next to the wall for a little bit too if y'all don't mind." Chase doesn't need the wall to hang on to at all, especially since he played two years of ice hockey in middle school. "Psh you don't need the wall, here I'll help you." Chase takes your hand and pulls you away from the wall.

"No, no the walllllll!" You dramatically say. They laugh at you. To be honest, you wanted to stick with the wall for a little bit because it's been so long since you last skated and you didn't want to fall down, causing Chase to fall too. But Chase skated with you holding your hand. You look back at Saige and Tyler hanging on to the wall. Saige is trying to teach Tyler how to skate, and Tyler keeps slipping which makes Saige (and you) laugh. "This was such a great idea Chase, I'm glad we're doing this. They look like they're having so much fun already."

"Yeah I'm glad too. Are you having fun though? This is a date for us as well," Chase says as the two of you skate around the rink.

"Yes, I'm having a lot of fun. I'm happy to spend time with you I meant," you say and Chase smiles and has a "ok, whatever you say" expression.

Some of your favorite songs are played over the ice-rink's speakers. You start to get the hang out skating again until one speedy little kid skated past you so fast that it startled you and you slipped backwards. "Woah-ah!" You sort of scream. You were falling backwards and you braced yourself for the hit of the hard, cold ice when Chase catches you.

"Hold up, you gotta say trust fall first, you can't just assume I'm gonna catch you every time," Chase said helping you not fall. The two of you laugh, especially you. You love how funny he is. You were about to go find Saige and Tyler to check up on them when you turn around and Tyler is right there in front of you in the middle of the rink. "Woah hey Tyler, what are you doing away from the wall already? We've only been here maybe 15 minutes and it took me an hour first time I tried."
