You continue to skate for another hour until all of you guys' ankles hurt from the skates. You all are hungry so you drive to In 'N Out Burger to eat especially since you burned so many calories from skating. Chase offers to pay for you and Tyler offers to pay for Saige. All of you laugh and talk about fun, random things. You all start to talk about America's Got Talent, the Voice, and different types of games shows when Tyler mentions something about a one time song competition that's happening in Washington D.C in March.

"It will be called "From a Song to a Star"," he tells. "I hear the winner wins a full ride college scholarship to whatever college they choose plus $10,000 cash!"

"What! That's crazy and so much money!" Saige says.

"Yeah, whoever wins that, their family will be really happy too," you mention.

"What do you have to do to win?" Chase says curiously. "It's gotta be huge for that big of a prize."

"Just simply write a song and perform in on the show is what they said on the news article," Tyler explains.

"That's really cool," you say. It sounds like so much fun, you plan on watching the show when it comes out. You, Chase, Saige, and Tyler all finish eating your burgers and get in Chase's car to head home. Chase drops off Saige at her house first because it was convenient. You all say bye, and you notice Tyler watching her as she walks into her house and are a bit excited and happy for your friend that she's also finally getting to know a guy as maybe more than friends. Next, Chase drives to his house to drop off Tyler.

Tyler asks Chase, "hey wait it would be way more efficient if you dropped her off first since you live here too," he says.

"Yeah but I was hoping for some alone time maybe, since it is a date after all you know?" Chase tries to whisper back to Tyler but since he was in the backseat, you couldn't help but hear it.

"Ohhhh ok bro I gotchu have fun. See you guys," Tyler says then tells you, "it was fun hanging out with you,"

"Yeah you too," you say smiling back. Tyler walks into Chase's house since he's been living there the past couple days.

You look at Chase as he backs out of his driveway. Everything about his face, his eyes, his hair, his jawline, even his skin makes you even happier to know that he loves you. The car pulls up to your house and he parks the car. He faces towards you and looks at your face. The two of you sit in his car looking at each other keeping eye contact that feels amazing to you. Everything else in all the world is blocked out when you look into his eyes and he looks into yours. You feel safe, free, and happy.

"I had so much fun tonight," you say.

"I did too," he says and smiles back. "Are you okay though from the fall? Or I mean crash? You kinda slipped, fell, and crashed all at once," he says almost trying not to laugh.

"Oh yeah," you laugh, "I think I'll definitely have some bruises tomorrow, and I might have to ice my wrist tonight or something," you say as you lift your sleeve a little bit to see if it's as swollen as it was earlier when you tried to cover it up. The swelling went down a little bit, although not as much but it is bruised already.

"Oh my gosh! Girly you said your wrist was fine but it's freaking swollen!" Chase says looking at your wrist.

"Yeah... so maybe I really should ice it..." you say in an "oops" kinda way.

"Yes you should! Do you want me to come in with you to help?" Chase asks concerned.

"No, it's ok. I don't want my dad to wake up to see me with my boyfriend in the house at night then get panicked. Plus Pepper might bark."

"Ok true. Your tough anyways," he says looking at you.

You smile. "I love you," you say.

"I love you too," he says. Both of you hold the most romantic kind of eye contact and start to lean in closer to each other. You close your eyes and the two of you kiss. It wasn't like your first kiss though, this one felt so right and comforting. Both of you weren't nearly as nervous as before and this kiss lasted longer. He held your face with his hand and you touched his hair on the back of his head. It was the most romantic thing in the world, you think. You love being this close to him, although in a way you wished you weren't in a car so that you could be even closer. The kiss breaks because both of you know that it's late and you guys need to go to bed.

"I wish we could be with each other forever, and that night wouldn't break us apart like it does," you say to him, inches away from his face, feeling his soft breath warm against your skin.

"Me too. Life is a thousand percent better with you. Plus, Tyler sort of snores in his sleep and I don't want to go home to that," he says jokingly. You smile big, so happy in his presence. He takes a deep breath. "I guess I should let you go now," he says starting to lean back into his drivers seat until you lightly hold his face and kiss him again. You never wanted this moment to end, and neither did he.

You pull away and grab your bag. "Goodnight Chase, love you," you say getting out of the car.

"Goodnight princess, love you more," he says. You close the car door and walk into your house. You look out the window to see him drive away which makes you miss being with him already.

Just as you guessed, your dad is asleep and the house is dark, so you reach into the fridge to grab a snack and a bag of ice, then go to your room. Pepper is excited to greet you when you walk into your room and set down your things.

After getting ready for bed, you lay down and ice your wrist. Today was such a good day, you think. How is it that Chase truly cares about you and is even amazing enough to show it? You hope that you're a good enough girlfriend, at least as much as he is a great boyfriend. You remember how in eighth grade, you and Saige talked about your dream boyfriends, then a teacher heard and told you guys that those men only exist in movies. You didn't want to believe that teacher and wanted to stay hopeful, but as high school went on, you started to realize more and more that she was right, that is, until you met Chase.
