Revealed Darkness

Nails.... Really?

I looked at Vanessa and we both nodded our heads towards him. Van knew how important it was for me to learn who and WHAT I was. I always got called names at school. Told I didn't belong because I was some unknown freak, and this was a chance for me to learn about myself.

"Do you have any idea where they are?"

"No one does, I have tried for years and I haven't found any, but the two he gave me before he died."

I sighed, of course nothing can ever be easy.

"Well we will have to look harder! Besides you only had one set of eyes now you have ten of them."

"You may have a point Ace. Be my guest to look, but I doubt you will find any of them.

Van looked at me and I nodded and translated for her.

"Well we at least have to try, I've been waiting my whole life to figure out who I am.

Gray just nodded at me sympathetically which made me want to punch him no matter how nice he was.

"Well first Colten why don't you show everyone around, I will clean up breakfast."

"Sure thing Gray there are some certain places I've been wanting to show a certain lady."

He looked right at me and winked. instead of melting at his feet like I wanted, I stuck my tongue out at him.

"Watch it sweetheart I might just take you up on that offer."

I quickly tucked my tongue back in my mouth, turned around and grabbed Vanessa's arm and dragged her into the hall where Colten was heading.

"Let's start in the basement."

I nodded my head but looked at Vanessa. he said basement weird and I wanted to make sure I wasn't going crazy.

She looked at me with the same uneasy look like she thought he was some psycho killer, which I was beginning to think that also.

We walked down two halls until we got to a rusty steel door. Colten did a series of random knocks on it and the door popped open.
He turned and smiled at me then walked into the darkness and seemed to just disappear.
My curiosity got the best of me so I cautiously made my way to the door. I took a tentative step step into the darkness when my foot hit hard steel I was confused. Why would someone have steal floors in their house except if they had a-----

Before I could finish my thought I put my other foot down and fell down a hole. I screamed once I felt the nails in the tube thing dig into my back and my head kept banging against steal. Suddenly I was dumped out of the hellish tube and onto a dark blue mat. I quickly sprung up from my crumbled position on the ground and went into a defensive stance while checking my surroundings. Something heavy collided with the back of my legs making me fall back down on the mat. I jumped up and spun around to see my attacker only to see Ace lying in the ground.

"Argh! Ace you scared the crap out of me!"
