Catching up

Nightwing's POV
After that whole revelation about Blockbuster being me, I decided to go train and clear my mind before continuing with my search. I turned around after destroying the last robot as Melissa walked over to me.

Melissa:"Heya Nightwing, long time no see?"

Nightwing:"Nice to see you're on your feet Flamebird, sorry I couldn't visit you at all, I was kinda too busy, dealing with the mercanaries and finding out what Hebijo intends to do, what have you been doing?"

Melissa:"I have been training more and more and devolping my skills, Leo and her team have been helping me through that and have even taught me some new tricks. Can I demonstrate one of them to you?"

Nightwing:"sure, just don't hurt yourself while doing so." She nodded before running at me, I see the smoke bombs in her hands as she threw them at me and enveloped me in a smoke cloud, I look around before hearing the sound of a grapple as I spot her coming down at me with her gauntlets out as she landed and rolled on the ground as the smoke disappeared.

Melissa:"Ta da! How do you like that?"

Nightwing:"It can be a good trick but maybe don't use it as an opening move, use it in the middle of battle when your opponent is tired but if you want to use it in the beginning, make sure to have a distraction so they don't hear the sound of your grapple or predict you next move and make sure you don't have the smoke bombs out early or your enemy can predict your next move, let me show you." I moved about 10 feet away from her before running towards her, I flipped over her and three smoke bombs at her before slinking into the smoke as she looked around, I threw down a flashbang as it temporarily blinded her as I grappled upwards then jump down at her and hit the ground in front of her as she jumped slightly.

Melissa:"Ah! You kinda scared me there."

Nightwing:"When you're on the job, nothing really scares you. Now shake that scare off because I want to see how far you've come she nodded before running to the locker room with her suit in a bag as I walked over to the bench and take off my training shirt so I can put on my Nightwing suit and armor as Melissa came out soon after while hopping while putting her boots on then she started to run towards me. I walked towards her as her gauntlets powered up then she jumps and groundslammed. I quickly pull out my sticks and rolled out of the way.

Nightwing:"Hey woah, that new, was that a new trick?" She got up and got into an Attack position.

Flamebird:"Yep, the girls here taught me that... Mostly Katsuragi." She shivered before shaking it off and getting back into position. We circled around each other then she shot her Flamebirds at me, I gracefully jump over them and landed before throwing my own set of Wing-dings at her. She blocked them as I rushed in before she could recover and broke her defense then punch her stomach before uppercutting her then winding back and kicking her on the way down. She landed hard onto the ground before getting back up. I yawned and spun my sticks and smirked at her.

Nightwing:"Watch and learn Flamebird, let me take you back to school." I ran towards Flamebird and grappled Her towards me before kicking her in the stomach as she fell on her back and groaned on the ground.

Flamebird:"I think you just rearranged my organs..." She just laid on the ground as her gauntlets deactivated and she took off the goggles over her mask. I helped her up as she sat on a bench and coughed while pounding her chest before grabbing a drink of water and drinking it. I smiled and grabbed a water bottle from a cooler next to the bench and sat next to her.
