It had been almost two months now and the house building was going fairly smoothly at this point in time. This gave Ed and Winry more time to plan their wedding. Clothing was already planned because Ed's style of tuxedos was simply black with some red accessories and Pinako had saved Winry's mother's wedding dress just for her. Currently, Ed was just on the phone with the Central Bakery.
"Yeah, so I'd like the cake to have three tiers and have each tier be a separate flavour" Ed explained.
"We can do that, so what flavours would you like?" the baker asked.
"We decided on having the bottom tier as lemon drizzle, the middle as white chocolate and the top as carrot" Ed answered.
"Very lovely choices, we'll have the cake ready next month" the baker concluded.
"Alright, thank you" Ed ended as he hung up the phone. After finishing the cake order, he made his way into the dining area where WInry was putting invitations in envelopes.
"So, who do you currently have on the invitations so far?" Ed asked.
"I currently have people we know very well in Resembool and a bunch of people in the military" Winry explained, "I also got one for Paninya and Garfiel too"
"Ok, now we just got to think about the catering" Ed exclaimed.
"Al told me that there was a good one in Dublith so he asked Izumi and Sig to check it out for us" Winry noted.
"Alright, we can go there once they get us some information" Ed replied, "And we are inviting them, right?"
"Of course, I wouldn't leave them out" Winry laughed.
"That goodness, I don't want Teacher to get mad" Ed said with a bit of fear.
"Ok, I've finished these invitations, I'll start handing them out to the people here" Winry exclaimed.
"Sure, I'll help you" Ed said, grabbing some of the invitations.
An hour later
After finishing up with sending invitations, the Rockbell household got a call from Izumi. It turns out that the catering place is really good so Ed and Winry decided to take the next train to Dublith. Whilst on the train, the two couldn't help but feel happy about the future.
"I'm really glad that you chose me" Winry exclaimed.
"Why do you say that?" Ed asked.
"Because when you left Resembool and I got older, I always felt that I was too tomboyish for any guy to like" Winry explained, "But the fact that you cared more about me than my personality made me realise my feelings for you"
"Well, I've only had eyes for you because you basically brought me back on my feet and gave me another chance at life" Ed told her, "You've been such a huge impact on my life that you were the only woman that made me feel this way"
Winry smiled at his words before grabbing hold of his neck and kissing him. The two had gotten used to it now and were perfectly fine with public affection. They didn't do it too often because they don't want to look like those couples that show off. The train whistle howled telling them that they had arrived. The two hopped off the train and saw Sig and Izumi waiting for them on the platform.
"Hey Teach, hey Sig" Ed greeted.
"Hello Edward, it's good to see you again" Sig replied.
"It's great that you two finally tied the knot" Izumi exclaimed.
"Oh, thank you Izumi" Winry thanked.
"Reminds me of when we got married" Izumi sighed.
"Anyway, the catering place is this way" Sig pointed.
The four of them made it to the catering place where the people there had many different dishes waiting for them. Ed knowing the military would be salivating for meat, so he made sure that there were a lot of meat dishes for the wedding. They didn't want it to be too fancy so they decided that everyone should have a nice steak meal and a nut roast for anyone vegetarian. After they managed all the catering services, the two headed back to Resembool. That was when a bit of chaos happened.
"What is that ruckus over there?" Ed questioned.
"I have no clue, let's go see" Winry replied. Upon arriving at the Market Square, they saw Missy and her friends at it again.
"Hey everyone, I've got some interesting news for you all" Missy cried.
"Oh, dear god" Ed sighed as he rolled his eyes.
"Did you know, Winry is extremely abusive and manipulative" She called out, "She's also using Eddy to make her status better"
"For crying out loud" Winry said with a facepalm.
Despite Missy's efforts at trying to start drama, no one in the Market Square batted an eye towards the girls. This infuriated her so she just started yelling again.
"Are you people not listening to me?" Missy yelled.
"We heard you the first time" Jaden called out, "And do you really expect us to believe you?"
"Of course, I speak the truth" She replied making Ed and Winry groan.
"We've known Winry for a long time and we know fully well that she is not like that" Another salesman explained, "So just make yourself useful and go back to school"
Missy and her friends were extremely enraged at this and walked off with a humph. As they were making there exit, they spotted Ed and Winry in the distance. She made a glare at her while putting on a cutesy smile towards Ed. They just shook their heads and went back home so that they could see if there were any more preparations.
That night
"Ok, I got off the phone and Ling will be able to attend the wedding" Mei explained.
"That's great, we get to see the Prince again" Al said happily.
"And he's bringing his son too" Mei added.
"Son? I guess him and Lan Fan tied the knot as well?" Ed asked.
"Yup, the two are very happy right now" Mei answered.
"That's wonderful" Winry exclaimed.
The rest of the night was spent making a plan to set up the area for where the ceremony will take place.
