Before I begin this chapter, I just wanted to add a bit of information on the 3 girls that will be frequently appearing throughout the story. Missy, Cassie and Kaitlin. The short description of them are that Missy is blonde, Cassie is brunette and Kaitlin is a redhead. All of them will have "skimpy" clothing and sound like the stereotypical valley girl. Other than that, there isn't much to talk about them. Also, the character Jaden is based off of me. The description of him is similar to what I look like in real life. But other than that, enjoy the chapter.
Because Ed really wanted to stay in Resembool now that he has finished all his travelling, he decided to rebuild his house where his old one used to stand upon returning. So far, progress has been made to the foundation and things were starting to go well. Al had joined in on rebuilding and the two brothers agreed that Al will have a place nearby to Ed's place. From time to time, Jaden would come over to help with the building and other civilians were helpful too. Winry would usually come over to hand them their lunch and some beverages whenever a break was needed.
"So, what exactly do you want for the second story?" Al asked.
"I was thinking that I'll have a bathroom, my study, Winry and mine's bedroom and two rooms" Ed answered.
"Two rooms upstairs and downstairs?" Al questioned, "How many kids do you plan on having?"
"Al, some of these rooms can be used for guests" Ed yelled with a blush.
"Haha, you know I'm kidding brother" Al chuckled, "Besides, I know your limit is 3"
"Ya got that right" Ed sighed.
As they finished up on putting up the walls for the ground floor, the two stopped to have a break. Winry had stopped by with some fresh lemonade and sandwiches for their lunch and the two couldn't help but be grateful. However, things turned out for the worst when the three intruding girls came by.
"Oh, hi Eddy" Missy called out. Ed felt sick at the name she gave him. "Whatcha doin?"
"I am currently building my house" Ed said as if it weren't obvious.
"Wow, amazing, I guess that's for our future home?" Missy asked.
"No, it will be the future home for Winry and I" Ed answered.
"C'mon, you really think that she should be with you?" Missy questioned, "I think you deserve better"
"Yeah right" Ed replied.
"And once you finish your brother's place, I'm sure Cassie would love to settle with him" Missy suggested.
"For your information, I do not have an interest in her, I'm not single" Al replied angrily.
"Can't you guys see?" Cassie started, "We are far better for you than-" Cassie was immediately interrupted by a familiar voice.
"Good day Fullmetal" the Flame Alchemist, Roy Mustang greeted.
"Hello to you Mustang" Ed replied.
"What, what's a military soldier doing here?" Cassie questioned.
"I got your call and my crew are happy to help with your house building" Roy exclaimed as he walked towards them, "We don't want it to get in your way of wedding plans"
"Thanks Colonel" Al thanked.
"Al, did you forget I am now a General?" Roy jokingly asked.
"Oh yeah, it's been a while" Al remembered.
Roy turned to the annoying trio of girls. "I suggest you three leave, if you value your health and safety"
"Why should we?" Kaitlin questioned.
"Construction sites can get very dangerous" Roy stated. Eventually, the three of them left leaving the rest in peace.
"So, how are you Roy?" Winry asked.
"It's been great, Riza and I got married 3 years ago" Roy answered.
"Oh, congratulations" Winry congratulated.
"Thanks, Winry" Roy thanked.
"I knew you two would end up tying the knot" Ed exclaimed.
"In fact, many of the soldiers in Central were betting on who would confess first" Roy laughed.
"Well, now that our break has finished, we better get back to work" Ed said, standing up.
"Alright, my crew should come by soon" Roy finished. As soon as he said that, the building crew had just arrived and began working on Ed's house. They told him that they will be able to finish it in 3 months. The crew also began on working on Al's house. Luckily, the plans had already been drawn beforehand.
That Night
The house building had gone fairly well, a lot of progress had been made and Al's house was starting to form. As Ed was brushing his teeth, Winry couldn't help but think what it's like to be married and settle into their new home. Her thinking stopped just as Ed finished and placed himself onto the bed.
"You thinking about something?" Ed asked.
"Yeah, just about when we do get married and live in that house" Winry answered.
"Ok, anything in particular?" Ed questioned.
"Well, I was wondering what you felt about kids" Winry replied with a blush.
"Oh, well, to be honest, I would love to have kids" Ed explained, "However, my limit is 3"
"That's good, that's my limit as well" Winry agreed.
"Huh, everyone was right" Ed sighed, "We are both perfect together"
"For once, I do agree with them" Winry said, turning off the lamp. The two drifted off to sleep. Waiting for what there is to come.
