The howl

I hear a howl an unknown howl far off into the distance coming from the woods so I decided to go and check it out I came across a fox that has its leg in a bear trap, I instantly felt my heart hurt for the fox I decided to walk towards it

As I got closer I heard it whimpering again I felt a pang I'd hurt in my heart I wonder if this is the other unknown fox I crouch down next to it and it started to growl "it's ok, I'm not going to hurt you" it stopped growling as I glowed my eyes their blood red colour I see it's eyes light up into a bright purple colour, this is definitely the fox we were looking for but it needs to shift back for the healing process to kick in

"I don't know who you are but I'm here to help ok you need to shift to get yourself to heal" I said with a sympathetic smile it just looked at me and shook its head I huffed out a breath as I grabbed hold of the bear trap "sorry about this" I say as I yank it open the fox squeals loudly as a tear runs down its furry face, as It stands up I notice how beautiful the fox is it has whiskey brown eyes and perfect red orangish furr and it's ears were small and cute? Ok stop that but I can't help the feeling of wanting to touch it and before I know it I'm subconsciously reaching my hand out to touch it, it flinches back I notice I'm in the wrong as this part of the woods is not my territory and is probably theirs so I remove my hand "sorry"

As I'm about to turn around and stand up I feel somthing nudge my hand I look down to see the fox looking at me expectantly it bows it's head giving permission for me to touch it, I reached my hand down to slowly touch its head it's furr was so soft and fluffy I smile awkwardly as I begin to stroke it after a few minutes I slowly take my hand away as it slowly backs away running off into the woods supposedly back to where it came from

I need to find out who this fox is
