Kie had joined me after my morning surf standing at the edge of the path back to my place holding two white paper pages with "The Wreck" logo on them. She was holding them up smiling at me. She walked next to me and waited as I cleaned off my board and ran my hands under the tap trying to get rid of all the sand.
We moved up to the porch sitting down and she passed me a burger from one of the bags, "Dad packed your favorite." Kie said grabbing a handful of chips. I unwrapped my burger and sure enough, it was just how I like it. Extra salad extra sauce. I smiled at Kie before taking a bite. "So now that you have surfed and have your favorite food.... Are we in a good mood?" kie asked me?
"You're scaring me what's wrong? What did you do?" I asked Kie putting my food down looking at her.
"You know when we went to the lighthouse and you guys left us when the cops showed up." kie turned, crossing her legs and facing me.
"Yes, I told them to wait," I said, copying her movements.
"Kie looked away from me and whispered, "JohnBkissedme"
"What?" I asked , leaning in towards her.
"John B Sortakindakissedme" she said rushing through the last part.
"John B what?" I asked , teasing her knowing what she was saying.
"Kissed mee" she said slowly, dragging out the last word.
"Oh yeah I know" I said , shrugging my shoulders and picking up my burger while taking another bite.
"He told you?" Kie asked shocked
"Yeah when i picked him up after i dropped Pope off. He wanted my advice because of what happened with Me and '' i stop speaking, stopping myself before i say anymore hoping that Kie won't question.
"You and?" I asks noticing that i stopped
"Hah?" I ask about shoving a massive amount of burger in my mouth so i can't talk.
"Leah?" she questions me again. A massive smile spread across my face. "Does this have anything to do with how JJ was acting around you the other night?" Kie questioned popping a few fries into her mouth.
"Oooh what's the hot topic of today's gossip ladies?" JJ yells jogging from around beside the house seeing us on the back porch.
"Oh you should know, you and Leah," Kie says, pooping more fries into her mouth smiling.
"Leah you told her?" JJ says running and sitting on the step in front of me stealing some of my fries.
"I didn't say anything?" i said in defense slapping his hand away from my fries.
"Ooo so there is something, come on spill." kie says leaning in closer.
"John B and Kie kissed!" I yelled , jumping up and running onto the grass away from Kie. she had her mouth open in shock which soon changed to a death glare.
"Oh yeah i know that that's old news." JJ says eating the rest of my burger.
Kie slaps him around the back of the head. "What are you doing here JJ?" she asks him.
"Oh John B told me to come, get Leah, he's waiting back at his place for us."
I walk back over to the porch and grab the rubbish throwing it in the big as I walk inside to grab a clean top and shorts. I walk back outside seeing JJ and Kie waiting by the path to John B's place.

JJ whistles "You guys see that?"
We are now all on John B's boat heading into the marina.
" That's the Malibu 24-MXZ, the world's finest wakesetter.
Number one in luxury, quality, and performance. 200K, easy." JJ continues looking at the boat about to pass us.
"We picked the wrong parents," i say with a sigh
"I hate to break it to you guys, but that's Topper and his girlfriend," Kie says.
" You don't have to act like you don't see us, bitch." kie says as they go past. Yeah fair to say she hates Sarah with a passion and for good reason. I mean I don't know the full story, just the parts that she's told me but I fully understand.
