It was my good friend Amanda and her family.
She was smiling at me with a I-don't-know-what-the-f-either face, Tyler was standing awkwardly with his huge frame behind his parents and Mitchel was beaming up at me with his handsomest smile.
What a little cutie.
I watched as mom gently led me forward to make the introductions.
"Martin and Gemma, this is my daughter Tasha," I smiled shyly at both senior Hunts and they returned the smile warmly.
"Hi Mr and Mrs Hunt, I'm Tasha." I looked at them shyly.
"We know, Amanda and Tyler often talks about you. You are such a lovely girl and we are glad to meet you finally." I blushed at Mrs Hunt's compliments and couldn't help but noticed that she mentioned Tyler talked about me at home.
Was that true or just something that his mom said in casual passing?
"Please come in," I heard my dad voice from behind.
The whole group proceeded to our living room and I was very curious why they invited my friends' family over for dinner.
But I had to remember my manners since the parents were around.
It would be revealed soon enough.
Dad cleared his throat when everyone settled down comfortably, with little Mitchel squeezing between Amanda and myself on a 2 seater.
"Well, we have moved into this place for quite some time, and our families have not officially met so here we are, all gathered together here for a nice dinner. Hope we have many more good days ahead for our business, Martin," Dad finished while stretching his hand out to Amanda's dad.
Business? That meant they were our business partners?!
This was definitely news to me. And why hadn't anyone mentioned anything before?
I looked over to Amanda, she looked slightly surprised like me while we shared a look.
When I looked to Tyler, his face revealed no surprise nor any particular expression.
Did he know?
Martin Hunt shook dad's hand with a hearty slap and the slightly awkward atmosphere was dispelled when both grinned at each other.
Everyone started making small talk while mom and Mrs Hunt busied in the kitchen, dishing out the cooked food.
"So whats going on?" I whispered to Amanda when the rest were engrossed in their conversations.
"Like hell I would know. Daddy just told us his business partner was inviting us to dinner and bam before I knew it we were at your house. Someone tell me," she scrunched her nose.
"Don't you feel this is sort of weird?" I asked.
"Weird? No. Maybe surprised. They just didn't mention I guess," she shrugged.
Maybe I was making a molehill out of nothing again. These days I'm getting paranoid over everything.
"Something is weird. You are right though. Why is Ty looking at you the whole time?" Amanda asked with a playful smile.
Tyler was sitting across us and I knew his eyes were on us the whole time.
"He's not," I replied lamely, while blood was rushing up my both cheeks.
"Ew, I can't imagine my good friend and my brother together," she said with a disgusted look.
"We are not," I attempted to find excuses again.
