Just watching the father of her twin girls be pushed in the back of a police cruiser made her tears run down her face rapidly. Veronica didn't want to see herboyfriend go to jail, she didn't mean for that to happen all she wanted was for Tariq to go to jail and leave her life.
Veronica went home. She told her mom all about what had happened at the hospital. "Veronica...Hold up! He put his hands on you ?! Her mother exclaimed, she didn't care about nothing else. She only cared that her daughter was hit. So Veronica's mother pulled veronica in the car and sped to the local police station ,where Tariq and Kavon were at. "Yes, hello may we speak to 2 of your temporary inmates ?" Veronica's mother asked. "Names?" The officer at the front desk asked whose name tag read "Billy".
They followed Billy to the back where there sat the two boys Kavon and Tariq sitting in separate cells. " Yes , this one is with me you could let him go now . Veronica's mother informed Billy as she point to Kavon's Cell. "Thanks Mrs.Williams!" Kavon exclaimed showing how happy he was to see them. " And I just need a word with the other one ." Veronica's mother said. " Listen.." She started as she waited for Tariq to look her in the eyes. "This she's mine game your playing, its not cute! If you see that she is happy with her man , let her be happy and stop interfering! I will be sure to let both of your mothers about this! And I hope I will never hear you talking to her or trying to talk to her ! Understood?!" Veronica's mother asked with rage. "Yes ma'am!" Tariq answered .
From then on Tariq never called again ... So the three went back go the house get ready to go to sleep. That night as Veronica was about to lay down, she felt one of the babies first kick...
