..." Your What ?!" Veronica's mother exclaimed ! " I mean.. Who's the father ? Did you take a test ? How do you know ? " Her mother asked frantically not knowing what to do. " Kavon, the kid who I'm doing my project with, and I took a test last night the last one that was in the cabinet, and it was positive. " OK, does the father know ? " Her mom asked scared. " Yes Ma, and he says he's going o be with me one hundred percent of the way." She replied. Her mother smiled at this fact. " Would you like me to call your dad ? " She asked. " Yes but lay the news on him lightly. I want him to be able to focus in the war. " She responded.
*Veronica's POV*
I was relieved. After telling her that, I feel like a load came off of my chest. So I texted Kavon wondering if he had already laid the scary news on his parents yet. " Did you tell your parents yet ?" I started the text with curiosity. As I waited for him to reply I looked up things to ensure a healthy living baby. I saw a a tip that said to drink water most of the time because you can dehydrate the baby. As I finished up this sentence, my phone buzzed meaning I had a notification. Kavon had replied. He told me that's what he was about to ask me, and yes he did tell them, and they kicked him out. That part made me cry. Just to think my lame irrelevant self made this soon to be popular boy's life miserable.
That night she couldn't sleep, she had different ideas of how her life would be when she had the baby or If she didn't have the baby...
