Jane grabbed my hand and ran towards the store dragging me along. I stumbled and repeatedly try to get my feet under me but she was too fast. We banged through the doors of their local super market and scared the cashier half to death.

"Sorry miss, there was a clone that had spotted us." I said and Jane smiled apologetically. The cashier couldn't have been more than seventeen. She was skinny and had short red hair. She seemed to have dyed it herself.

"Hey Hun, could you go get me body wash, mom body wash and shampoo, and some razors for you?" I glared at her about the last part and she giggled. "Meet at the snack area." I said as she was walking away. I went and picked up some lemon scented dish soap and made my way towards the snack isle. I got there and saw she had a basket and put my one item in it.

"Smart thinking sweetie." I kissed her cheek and threw some barbecue chips into the basket and some M&Ms. She threw some goldfish into the basket and led me to the fresh produce section. She put some peaches and apples into the basket and looked at me. I nodded my approval and we went to check out.

After we checked out, we jogged home. I unlocked the front door and helped Jane put away the food. Once everything was put away, I kissed her and picked her up like a princess. I carried her out the front door and set her in the car. She was giggling the entire time and it made me chuckle. We started the car and drove to a nearby subway, she insisted on ordering the food. She got a foot long and so did I. she had ham and provolone with olives, lettuce, some pickles, and mayonnaise. I got turkey and everything else she did but I get mine toasted. I texted mom to ask if she wanted anything and she responded saying she would like a meatball sub so I ordered her one. We took our food got into the car and drove to moms. Once we arrived, I grabbed the food and my girlfriend grabbed the shampoo and body wash.

My dad answered the door and I immediately growled and Jane whimpered, my dad glared, grabbed his keys, and ran to his car. I smiled and led her inside and locked the door. She went to find mom while I went into the kitchen and figured out whose sub was who's. Jane brought mom into the kitchen and I handed her the sub we got for her.

"Mom I hope it's OK we got you some lavender scented shampoo and body wash." She looked at me, confused. "if you change your smell the clones are less likely to notice you." I explained and she nodded and sat at the kitchen table where Jane was. Mom dug into her sandwich hungrily and I smiled when she gave me a thumbs up. I chuckled and ate my own. After talking with mom for a little bit we headed home.

It's about two months since I started living with Jane and it's amazing. I haven't been happier before. Its late August now and its super cold which isn't normal but I know it's from the clones. It's about 12am right now and my Jane is sleeping. I headed into the bathroom and turned on the shower. I undressed and got in, the water is nice and cold. I had looked up the clones about two hours ago and now I can't sleep. There's over a million out there! All but two were in hiding now, which scared me. I was worried for Jane and especially for mom. I laid down next to Jane after my shower, careful to not disturb her and drifted off to sleep.

When I woke in the morning at 9 AM, I smelt bacon and stumbled out of bed and into the kitchen. Jane giggled and I suddenly realized I was naked. I smiled at her and hugged her then went back to the bedroom to put on pants. After I had on pants I returned to the kitchen and kissed the back of her neck as she was cooking eggs.

"Hey! I'm cooking here!" I chuckled and pinched her butt then got a cup out of the cabinet and filled it with water. She eyed me cautiously which made me chuckle as I tried to drink the water. I smiled and nuzzled her shoulder then went and sat at the kitchen table.

"What's the special occasion? You're up early, you're cooking food, and your hair is done up nicely. Not to mention that you're wearing a nice sweater and cute jeans." I looked down at my phone and saw that today was August 5th and panicked. It was my mom's birthday. "Do we even have a present?" she nodded and I relaxed a little. Jane brought over two plates each had bacon and eggs and one piece of toast. I got up and got her a cup of orange juice and me a cup of milk. After breakfast I started to get ready to go.

We headed over to mom's at about 11 and knocked on the door. I found out that mom's present was some face masks, nail polish, bath bombs, and a cute little butterfly necklace. I kissed Jane's cheek and thanked her right before mom opened the door.

"Happy Birthday mom!" I threw my arms around my mother and hugged her tightly, picking her up off her feet. She laughed and Jane smiled.

"Happy birthday Mary!" Jane gave her a hug and we headed inside to the living room. Jane and I presented mom with her present. Mom was so happy with it and couldn't wait to pamper herself. I helped her put on the necklace and then she kissed my cheek, and then Jane's.

"Thank you so much Jane and Jack. You really didn't have too. I appreciate it though, your father hasn't gotten me anything or said anything. I'm sure he forgot what today is," She looked sad, "He's upstairs by the way. Want me to kick him out or...?" I shook my head.

"As long as he doesn't touch or come near Jane I don't care where he is." Dad came down the stairs right on cue and I unintentionally pulled Jane closer but he made no move to come towards us. He walked over to mother and kissed her and then gave her a box. Mom looked surprised when she opened it, Jane and I couldn't see what it was. She showed us, dad got her a set of diamond earrings, a matching bracelet, and a beautiful ring. The gem was a stunning green. It was on the smaller side yet it still complemented her eyes beautifully. I was actually kind of proud of dad at the moment.
