-------------------------------I walked briskly towards the hall for orientation, trying to put my worries away as I had my head set on. I was listening to my favorite song.
Free, by Jaymikee
A figure walked towards me that brought a small smile to my face as soon as I saw who the person was. Damilare.
"Hey, Jemi" he said as soon as he got close.
I removed the headset as I stretched out my hands to receive his, which was already stretched."Damilare" I said smiling," I looked out for you last week and I didn't get to see you at all" I added.
" Yeah, I was around really, but you know I'm in the medicals, Physiotherapy" Dare replied.
" Oh yeah, you told me that" I said realizing there was no way we would have cross each other's path.
"But I came around here on Thursday I didn't see you".
"Yeah... My dad discovered lectures aren't starting yet because of registration, so he didn't allow me to come" I replied.
One of his over zealous spiritual daughters, who worked at this university, had told him. He prevented me from coming because he saw no reason why I should.
"Oh, I see" he said demurely.
"So how is Anne, and your parents?" He asked, but I sure didn't have the right answer to his question. Not after what happened the previous night.

The night before•••
I had gone into my room without saying a word to my parents, I didn't know what happened to me but I just didn't see myself thinking about it. I was in so much denial, I just stayed in my room scanning through the new books I had bought for school.
My mum came checking on me but she left as soon as she got to the door. I guessed she couldn't bring herself to explain anything. My dad did same, but he asked about my trip to Anne's school. I told him I was okay and also told him about her hostel and roommates.
I acted normal throughout the night but I could sense my parents where disturbed. I knew I was supposed to be worried or at least feel bad.
But I couldn't, I didn't want to think about what I saw, I didn't even bother praying about it.Everything was just fine, I told myself.

"Jemima.... Jemima.... Jemi... Hello?!?!" Dare said bringing my attention back to the present.
" Is everything alright" he asked."Yes... Everything is just perfect" I answered him, as I grinned widely. " So what are you doing here" I said as we entered the hall. "Today is for departmental orientation right?" I asked.
"Yes, but mine isn't starting until 12pm, so I decided to come say hi to you and Ephraim" he answered.
" Ephraim?" I asked.
" Yes" he said " he is a 200 level student in your department, Law" he added.
My eyes opened widely as I stared at Dare.
