Comment by the judge (Est2010): I really like the title and the cover. They work really well with the story. The blurb is mainly made up of an exerpt from the story. This is a great way to hook the reader's interest, but a little bit more information about the story might be good. The story itself is very well written. There are a couple formatting issues and the odd extra exclamation mark which could be removed, but all in all, these are few and far between. The description and characterization are lush and vivid, and the pace of the plot flows wonderfully from chapter to chapter. The intrigue you've created with the hunt for Jacob and the development of Miesha and Gabriel's relationship is fab. It keeps the reader interested without relying on cliffhangers. I can't wait to see where you take this story.
