"But that's not all." All Might said
"After some research on the internet yesterday, I discovered that part of this beach's park coat has been like this for many years" He added as he knocked on the metal cabinet
"Yeah..." Deku muttered
" For some reason, because of the currents, objects drift here a lot, and people take advantage of that to hide their illegal dumping..."
Your nose scrunched up again as an unpleasant smell filled your nostrils
"My nose is dying!" You whispered, covering your nose with your hand.
Kaneki, seeing his chance, grabbed your head and shoved your face onto his shoulder (he's wearing a hoodie)
"Neki?" You called out
"Yeah?" He replied, his cheeks tinted with a light shade of red
"Nothing." You replied, inhaling his sweet scent.
"You smell nice." You blurted out
"Th-thanks.." Kaneki muttered, his blush growing
"Heroes these days are all after showy stuff." All Might said in a louder voice than before
"Hm?" He slammed his hand on the metal cabinet and applied pressure to it, slowly crushing it
"Originally, being a hero meant doing volunteer service. Even if people called that boring or whatever. You can't waver from those roots" All Might said as he finally crushed the metal cabinet.
A gust of wind blew into you and the others
"You will restore the horizon for this whole section! This is your first step to becoming a hero!"
All Might glanced over at you to see if you were impressed by what he just did.
A small frown placed itself on his lips when he saw the emotionless look on your face but he instantly cheered up when he saw your eyes sparkle in admiration
"My first step...?" Deku mumbled as he turned around to look at the trash
"Clean... this... All of it...?!" He shouted, his eyes wide
"You can do it Deku!" You cheered in your monotone voice
"Yeah..." Kaneki said
"Young Midoriya, you want to go to U.A., right?" All Might asked, a hand on his hip
"Yes... Yes! Because it's where you went!" Deku placed his hand on his chest as he looked down at the ground
"So if i'm going to go.. I thought... it would definitely have to be U.A..." You smiled as you stared at Deku
"You're a go-getter fanboy!" Deku blushed and looked down. In the corner of his eye he saw something that made his blood boil.
You were pressed up against Kaneki, a small smile on your face as Kaneki rested his hand on top of your head.
YOU were HIS! You surely knew that... right?
"But i've told you this before" All Might said, taking Deku out of the daze he was in
"It's not something you can do without a Quirk. It's sad, but that is what the reality is. And U.A.'s is the hardest hero course to get into." All Might said
"In other words..." All Might continued
"In the ten months until U.A.'s entrance exams, I have to complete my vessel!" Deku finished
"That's where this comes in!" All Might shouted as he motioned to the papers he was holding
You raised an eyebrow, curious to see what the paper was for.
"I came up with this: "Aim to Pass: American Dream Plan!" All Might announced
"It's a training plan to help you finish cleaning up the beach. I'll have you follow this in every aspect of your life!"
"Even sleep time is included..." Deku mumbled as he looked at the papers
"Frankly, this is a super hard schedule. Can you follow it?" All Might asked Deku
"Of course... I have to work many times harder than anyone else, or else I can't do it!"
Growing curious, you started walking over to Deku and All Might only to be pulled back by Kaneki
"Neki-"
"Stay." Kaneki growled out
"Let go, Neki." You said in a soft voice
"No." He replied, wrapping his arms around you
"Dude." You sighed and just relaxed in his hold while watching Deku clean up the beach.
