Midnight had been coming over more than usual.

   He didn't like telling you in what his guild was up to or how he was doing, but you knew his shenanigans were looked down upon in society. However, you paid no mind to such things and didn't mention them when he did come over, in fear that he might not again. Your worries were not misplaced and the man himself enjoyed how you didn't bring them up.
   Something must've been bothering him though, and you asked once and he told you not to bring it up again. After seeing the frown appear he laughed and told you his presence was enough, although you weren't sure of it.
   It was the third time he'd came to visit you this week. His head in your lap and looking at the ceiling. Your lacrima was playing something in the background but it was merely white noise as you were more focused on him. Your fingers thread through his hair, tugging in certain places and leaving a smile on his face when he'd sigh in content.

"Penny for your thoughts?"

Midnights eyes shifted from your popcorned ceiling to your face, "So be it." He cleared his throat. "My father is using me to reach his goal. He's manipulating me like all the other members." Your eyebrows furrowed in interest but you quickly shoved it down to reply. "Dumb of him. I guarantee you're 100× better than your members." He grinned up at you, flipping over and placing his elbows on the sides of your thighs. "At least someone knows what they're talking about." He laughed, reaching behind your head and grab a handful of your hair and yank you down to him for a kiss.
You grinned, pulling him upwards with a lot of his help in the action.
The two of you shifted into a more comfortable position, with you sitting on his lap.
"If you ever need help I'm down, I've been working on my sword skills, not gonna lie I'm getting pretty good." You laughed, head tilting upwards to look at him. He cocked an eyebrow at you which you smiled at. "Don't worry though, I'll make sure I don't scratch you up too bad. Need you in perfect working condition for tonight." Midnight rolled his eyes when you sent a wink his way.

"You sound pretty ballsy for someone who lost their last fight." You shook your head in disagreement. "You cheated. I didn't loose. I mean you literally cheated. So by default I win." "Whatever. Only this time." He grinned back.

This is some crap fluff. I can redo it but honestly fluff is easier to write in headcanons. Plus this is just a conversation I had in my head and i was just like that's cute lets write that.
