"So... our ears, huh?" murmured Ray, feeling behind his ear, "yeah, it's hard to notice... but now that I know, I can feel it."
"We know the location, shape and size now!" beamed Norman, "so now, we move onto the next step..."
"How to break it," they chorused, eyes glinting as they came to the realisation that they were one step closer to escape.
"But if we remove it to check it out, she'll know," Norman frowned, heaving heavily as he leaned against the tree, the gears in his mind turning.
"You know... now that we know the location," Azalea suddenly stated, cutting through the silence, "I wonder if she's always been checking to see if they're still there... like she did with Emma earlier." She motioned to the said girl as she shivered.
"Probably," agreed Ray, "the signal can't identify the individual so without confirming, she can't tell where we are. So even if we get close to the gate or the walls, it doesn't even notify her."
"So in short: the tracking devices are crap and worthless," she summarised plainly with a blank expression, the boys sweat-dropping at her use of vocabulary, but they couldn't exactly argue against it, "and yet... they're still implanted."
"Why?" Emma voiced.
"They must be pretty darn confident that they can come after us as long as the tracking device is intact," snorted Ray. Silence ensued shortly after, Norman perking up suddenly and suggesting that it could only inform them when the device was destroyed, looks of realisation glossing over both Ray and Azalea's faces. "Now that you mention it..."
"If it's destroyed, they can't find us; as long as it's there they can capture us. Therefore, it can only be logical if they're notified when it's broken, like if it came with an alarm or siren or something," murmured Ray, the three staring in disbelief and slight fear, "but..." he glanced up, "that's only if the notification function actually exists..."
"But it's risky to mess with it or break it, it could go haywire," she waved her hands in the air to add extra effect.
"So then... it's only okay to destroy it when we escape," mused Norman, the girl nodding as Emma yelled out in frustration. The trio turned their glance to Ray as he requested to be the one to come up with a plan to destroy the devices; the children didn't have any qualms with it, now turning to the next matter at hand: taking everybody with them. "The only thing is that everybody completely trusts mom..."
"To be honest," she spoke up, "I didn't really believe you guys at first, then I remembered it was Norman saying it and not Emma."
"Hey!" she yelled indignantly, Norman snorting back a laugh as she fist-bumped Ray with a small smirk, "so..." she calmed down, though she was still pouting, "we gotta lie to them?"
"Not to mention their insufficient abilities; in other words, they're merely nothing but a hindrance-" began Ray, only for a ball to be angrily hurled at him by Emma, which he expertly caught, a frown adorning his features, "but it's the truth. You may not want to accept it, but some of them just aren't good at physical abilities and we have babies who can hardly walk."
There was silence among them as they struggled to think of a plan.
"Tag."
"Tag?" echoed Ray incredulously.
"Norman is it," she began to explain, the four sitting down and listening intently, "and everybody runs away using our body and our brains."
"I get it... so we're gonna pretend to play when we're actually training..." murmured Norman, his blue eyes lighting up.
"It isn't gonna be this easy to just run away from the Demons by just doing this," hummed Emma, "but for the escape and the aftermath, we can focus on our physical abilities. I'll teach them how to use their bodies and as for their brains... you three are the teachers."
The three shared an anticipated glance, smiles slowly fading onto their faces.
"This way, Mom'll never know..."
"Sounds fun... I'm in."

"He got me!" whined Thoma loudly, throwing a tantrum and whining, both Ray and Azalea sharing an amused glance before ruffling his hair.
"You can't just erase your own footprints," Ray's body shook with silent laughter as the girl sent him a pointed glare. He flashed her a teasing grin before turning back to the confused child. "You gotta check his footprints as well."
"Not to mention, he's reading your habits and getting used to them," added Azalea, "like, Thoma, you tend to-" Ray suddenly stood, his black eyes darting around in a panic, "Ray?"
"Where is she?!" he turned his harsh gaze onto the girl who squeaked slightly, not expecting his hostility. Seeing this, his face softened slightly before sighing, turning away and muttering that Krone was nowhere to be seen. Eyes widening, her eyes shifted from left to right, tugging the boy's shirt and pointing at the woman in question.
"You all look like you're having fun with your game of tag," came the voice, the children turning and coming face-to-face with the dark-skinned woman who loomed over them, her wide grin never leaving her face and sending shivers down the soon-to-be-teenagers' spines. "I'd like to join in."
The children were expecting anything but that to come out of the Sister's mouth.
"Eh? What do you mean?"
"You all looked like you were having fun, and I want to get to know everyone," she placed a hand over her chest, "so let's all play tag together!"
"Is she here to investigate?" Ray muttered, walking over to Norman and Emma slowly, the former claiming that she wouldn't interfere, nor was there anything to investigate. She sighed, staring forward as she took Yvette's hand, her other hand mindlessly brushing over her I.D. number on her neck. A smirk came onto her face, her pink eyes glinting in the sun as her acute canine teeth protruded from her lips and slightly unnerving the adult.
"Alright then... 20 minutes, and you're it. But good luck with tagging us all in that time."
