Chapter four [ Ivory ] 💔

The sun shone as it hit Emerald's sleeping face as she woke up and stretched lazily. The sounds of chickens were heard and the chirping of birds.

"Your grace, good morning". The maid came inside the room as Emerald groaned but not to obvious.

Hahahaha!

"Morning how was your night". Emerald said as she laid her bed.

"Good, yours?".

"Great".

"Your highness said I should get you ready for the royal escort and check". The maid said as she brought out Emerald's clothes ready to wear.

"Oh okay umm.. you don't have to worry about that. I'll get ready". Emerald said as the maid nodded and left.

After 5 minutes of showering, Emerald got dressed and was escorted downstairs were the Asher was waiting for her. "Sorry I.. um took long". Emerald said as they entered the carriage.

"No problem, you look good". Asher said as Emerald blushed.

Good? You can do better than that princey

"Th..anks". Was all Emerald could say as the carriage drove.

They were escorted by seven guards, three in front and four behind them.

Emerald kept looking out the window as the carriage came to a stop. "We're here". Asher said as he brought out his hands and Emerald took them. They came out and Emerald was stunned on how the villagers were working so hard.

Asher and Emerald were walking through the villages as villagers greeted them and bowed but of course it's only Emerald that'll greet back.

As Emerald passed a bakery, she drooled as the smell of the bakery passed her nose.

"Can we..umm go into that bakery". Emerald asked Asher shyly.

"You can eat cake or bread when we get back". Asher said as Emerald frowned.

"I.. barely ate breakfast". Emerald said bowing her head.

Asher sighs as he instructs the guard to buy some cake... "thank y..ou". Emerald thanks him as she smiled at him.

After two minutes the guards came with the cake and gave Emerald who was waiting happily to eat it.

As they passed each village, a poor beggar was sitting by the road side. Emerald's heart pricked seeing this. "Asher.. excuse me". Emerald said as she went to the beggar leaving Asher in a confused state.

The guards followed Emerald as she went to the beggar.

"Here, have it". Emerald said as she gave the beggar her cake. "No.. your grace.. I c..an't collect anything from you, your a royal". The beggar said and Emerald shook her head in a negative way. "I'm royal and I'm giving you, take it now". Emerald said and the beggar collected it "thank you very much your grace".

"No problem, I have to go, bye". Emerald waved and she went back to where Asher was standing waiting for her. "That was yours with your own money". Emerald smiled and said "I know, I had to give him". Asher sighed and said "whatever, let's go". And they continued walking.

After 10 minutes of them walking..

"Asherrr!". A girl came running into our direction but the guards stopped her. Asher signalled them that it was alright and she came, about to hug him but he stopped her. Emerald was so confused at what at just happened.

"Oh yeah, your married. I missed you Asher". The girl said and Asher said to Emerald "this is Ivory, my ex-girlfriend". Emerald nodded and looked at her.

She was fair and had dark hair. She was also beautiful as she had hazel brown eyes and long legs. She wore a gown that covered her knees and her hair was swept to her side.

Wait..

"Hi, Emerald right. Your so beautiful, I'm happy that you got to marry Asher". Ivory said as she smiled at Emerald.

"Thank you, Ivory". Emerald said still a bit confused.

Ivory continued and turned to Asher "umm..Asher, my house got burnt down and I'm really having trouble in rent. Is there a way you can let me stay with you for a while until I raise money for a new home".

She finished and she stared at him before he spoke coldly "no". He said and Emerald being the nice one quickly said "no, you can stay at our palace for a while until you find a new home".

"Really". Ivory asked as she hugged Emerald. "Thank you".

"No problem, Ivory". Emerald said as she broke the hug. Asher dragged Emerald's hand and took her to the carriage. "Let's go home". He said to the driver and they started to head home. Asher put his hand on his fore head and said "what is wrong with you".

Emerald frowned and said "I was just trying to help her, she's homeless". "Emerald, she's my ex-girlfriend, she might try something stupid. I know her". Emerald looked confused and said "she seems nice".

Asher sighed not trying to get annoyed and said "Emerald you don't know life, not everyone you see are who they really are. That girl's crazy".

"Ohh I'm sorry, she'll stay and if she tries anything stupid. We'll send her out, I promise". Emerald said and Asher calmed down and stayed silent.

They arrived home and the maid quickly escorted Asher to his room and Emerald waited outside for Ivory. The carriage quickly brought Ivory and she stepped out of the carriage looking stunned.

"Emerald". Ivory ran to her.

"Hi Ivory they'll escort you to the room". Emerald said pointing at the maids.

"Okay thank you for everything, you can call me Ivy". Ivory said as she went with the maids to her room.

Emerald sighed and went to her room.

In the light world....

"Your highness, a girl named Ivory is staying in the palace, could this be planned".

The light ancestors queen was fair, blonde and beautiful. She had the heart of gold, she was to protect Emerald and make her destroy the dark world with the help of her necklace, she had icy blue eyes and a crown with different diamonds placed on her head.

The queen stood up and said to Amber ; the light ancestors special leader of the guards.

"It might be planned and Emerald being the nicest wouldn't realise it we have to find a way to tell her and make sure she's careful".

"But how we going to tell her, your Highness". Amber asked. "We have to find a way". The queen concluded before she stood up and left.

Amber sighed and followed.

Knock! Knock!

"Come on in". Emerald said as the door opened revealing Ivy coming in.

"Hi Emerald, you busy". She said as she sat on the bedpost.

"Not really". Emerald said as she put her crown on the night stand.

"Good, can we do a sleepover". Ivy said but as soon as Emerald was about to answer there was a knock on the door "come in". Said Emerald.

"Your grace, your highness wants to see you in his bedroom". The maid said and Emerald nodded "umm... okay give me five minutes".

"Okay, he said now". The maid said and Emerald nodded "okay I'm coming...now". Then the maid left.

"What about the sleepover". Said Ivy looking disappointed. "I'm sorry, can we reschedule it". Emerald said apologetically. "Okay, why not". Said Ivy as Emerald left the room.

Immediately Emerald left, Ivy grinned "Now where's that necklace".
