CHAPTER THREE

Ebony the smart one knew what it was and she smiled. "Coal let's go to Rowland".

"Wait.. what..why". Coal said confusingly.

"I know who might be with the necklace but I'm not sure let's go to Rowland, quick come on".

"No.. I'm not following you until you tell me what's going on". Coal folded his arms and stood there.

Ebony sighed "you know the soul we took from that secluded house, the woman". Coal nodded " do you remember what she said before we came and I heard". Coal nodded as he put all the pieces together "yesss, please keep Emerald safe".

Ebony smiled as she said "They might have named her Emerald because she has the emerald necklace".

"Yess let's go". Coal said as he walked followed by Ebony.

Oh no! They found out..

Rupert was still depressed at his wife's death, he wrote a letter to Emerald;

'Dear Emerald, hope you're having a great time at the kingdom. We finally gave you what you wanted and we're happy, hope you're happy. We tried to protect you from the Dark night ancestors, but they found us and killed your mother. I'm sorry but I have to stay with your mother to, we're so sorry Emerald. And remember to keep your necklace with you, you'll find out about the whole thing soon We hope you forgive us for leaving you, we love you.

He folded the letter and attached it on the mail bird. "Take this to kingdom Rowland". He told the bird and the bird flew away to deliver it.

"Light ancestors, please take care of Emerald". He said before darkness overtook him.

Emerald stared at the garden from the balcony, she wanted to go so badly. She left her room and called one of the maids, "sorry excuse umm.. please can you lead me to the garden". "Sure your grace, follow me". The maid bowed down then she escorted Emerald to the garden.

"Here we are your grace" . The maid said as the approached the giarden. "Thank you". Emerald said as she stepped into the garden and admired the flowers.

The royal garden was filled with different plants of different kinds. Emerald loved nature, she loved anything green.

As she admired all the plants, she heard a sound from the back of the tree. Emerald being curious, went there and there was a bunny hopping. "Hi bunny, bunny". She said as she was about to touch it, the bunny hopped away leaving a frown on her face.

"You don't touch a bunny like that". A voice said and Emerald shook and turned, it was Asher.

Asher came closer and knelt down Infront of the bunny and the bunny immediately came jumping in his arms. Emerald was shocked so she said "How did you do that".

Asher smiled....

Wait. What.. he smiled.

Emerald was shocked because this was the first time she saw him smile "let's just say I've been to the garden more than you". Asher said and she formed an 'o' shape with her mouth.

It was silent, as a small drip of water dropped on Emerald's nose. Three seconds, it began to rain.

Instead of going in, Emerald was turning around inside the rain. "Come in you'll catch a cold". Asher said as he ran under the tree.

Emerald ran under the tree. Achooo! Emerald sneezed as she giggled. "Told you". Said Asher as he removed his jacket and placed it over her shoulders. "Thank y.. achoo!

"I'll call the guards". He said as he waved at one of the guards. The guards saw us and immediately brought out an umbrella for each of us. They led us inside the castle as the met the queen.

"Oh my.. Asher, you can't even take care of her, Lisa". The queen called the maid who immediately came. "Escort Emerald to her room, now". The maid quickly responded as she escorted Emerald to her room.

"Asher... go dry up and explain to me". The queen said as Asher went into his room.

Meanwhile the queen smiled happily. They were finally getting along.

In the Dark world...

"Hahahaha!" The dark queen laughed as she read the letter.

The letter that was supposed to be sent to Emerald, was with the queen. She had captured the bird. Oh no!

"Emerald this letter will never be given to you. So your the lucky one with the necklace, hahahaha! I'll find you Emerald". She laughed even louder.

"Any news". The queen said

"No your majesty".

"Good, go to kingdom Rowland, and find the Necklace, nowww!". Her voice was louder than ever.

"Ye..es, your majesty".

"Soon our ancestors would be undefeatable and that kingdom would be ours, no one would stop us even the light ancestors wouldn't, right raven, hahahaha!". She laughed as she stroke her raven bird.

Emerald took her shower as she changed into dry clothes. She couldn't stop thinking of Asher, she was also surprised of how he was so gentle and nice towards her, she blushed at every moment.

"Emerald!" The queen called as she came into Emerald's room. "Yess mum". Emerald came and saw her.

"Good job Emerald, my son is developing some soft spot. Thank goodness you came into our family".

"It's no problem, mom". Emerald said as blood rushed down her cheeks.

The queen put her hand on Emerald's shoulders as she said "Emerald you are a blessing to this family if there's anything you want, don't flinch to tell us okay". "Okay mum". Emerald said as she hugged her.

"Now go to bed you have a big day tomorrow". The queen said as she broke the hug. "What day?" Emerald asked

"Oh yeah we didn't tell you, you and Asher are going to be looking at the villagers to make sure everything's alright, that's the duty of the royal family. But since your dad and I are way to old we can't go". The queen said as she laughed out the last part making Emerald giggle.

"Okay, go rest". The queen said as she left the room.

"Being a princess isn't bad afterall". Emerald said in her head as she laid down on her bed and turned of the lamp.

"Coal.. we have to find a way to get into the palace without getting seen". Ebony said as they reached the palace gates.

"Or we can just disguise without us entering". Coal said.

"How?". Ebony raised her eyebrow as she folded her arms.

"Look". Coal said as he made way for a girl to come out.

She was fair and had dark hair. She was also so beautiful.

"Who's she". Ebony asked.

"Hi, my name's....".
