Chapter 52

Jungkook was sleepless all night. He can't decide whether to tell Chaeyoung or not that his team had lost track of her mother and sister.

Chen had reported yesterday that they failed to follow the van where Chaeyoung's mom and sister got on.

Everything happened so fast according to the team leader assigned to monitor Chaeyoung's mom and sister. The next thing their group knew was vans with the same brands, models and colors suddenly appeared at site blocking them from tailing the van where Chaeyoung's mom and sister were boarded.

He was going crazy already at the thought of the bold person to do this to him. He was gritting his teeth and clenching his fists.

Butler Omni who was observing him from a distance can only sighed and pitied his child for experiencing such difficulty on this matter.

'Should I make a move and report this matter to Head Master Jeon?' he thought inwardly. He was contemplating about it for some time now. He knew Chen already suggested it but Jungkook refused to do so out of his sheer pride.

Jungkook was up early the next day since he hasn't even had a proper sleep anyways.

Today, he had promised Chaeyoung that they will attend the last trial of her dad and right after they will register their marriage.

There are so many things to do and his face can't hide his troubles.

He was getting impatient. How come there's still no lead up to now, how can he protect Chaeyoung and her family if that continues.

"Sir the helicopter is ready." Chen said that disrupted his thoughts.

Jungkook sighed and walked towards their room to get Chaeyoung.

He saw Chaeyoung inside staring at her mobile phone. "Are you ready?" he asked idly.

Chaeyoung nodded and stood up quickly. Jungkook quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her to his arms for a hug.

"Don't do anything stupid, okay? I'm always beside you and I am trying really hard to solve this problem as fast as I could." Jungkook said with his persuading voice.

Chaeyoung sighed deeply. She knew Jungkook was doing his best to help her out.

However, there were things that were just beyond his power.

She had assessed the situation very hard last night. Jungkook failed without his knowing. Her family were already at Lina's hand.

So if she had to choose between the safety of her family and hurting Jungkook's heart – without a second thought she will now choose to hurt him.

No one could replace her family for her not even Jungkook, their lives were at stake here compared to Jungkook's heart. She was sure he could easily cope on it, everybody does. A broken heart can be healed but lost lives can't be recovered.

Yes, she was thinking for the worst case scenario although she was not sure that Lina's group was really capable on hurting people. But there was a big threat that she can't just taken for granted.

She hugged Jungkook back as tight as she could and smiled at him after she gently let herself out from the hug.

"Let's go now," the only words she spoke before pulling him to walk with her on the way to the helipad.

They landed at Jungkook's top floor building. Chaeyoung wore shades and made sure that she walked with her head slightly bowed down while her long hair was covering her side views. The purpose was to hide her full view at the cctv cameras.

Jungkook never let go of her hand and doesn't care much of the shocked eyes from his employees they passed through; seeing their Boss had brought a woman in their building.

The shades and the hair was not enough to hide the beautiful face of Chaeyoung. Everyone can distinguish those well protruded perfect features including her body and posture. And they bet her eyes will be the same once that shades was removed.

Chaeyoung walked nervously making sure to hide her face from any cameras. Jungkook was holding her firmly, still caring less with the people around them. Outside the building was a car with bodyguards waiting also and escorts that will lead them at the court of justice.

Inside the car, both of them were not saying a word. Jungkook was feeling nervous while Chaeyoung was feeling burdened.

This time Chaeyoung suddenly snuggled herself to him.

"Everything will be fine." Jungkook murmured while he gently kissed her forehead and gently stroke her hair.
