Riley didn't talk to anyone. She went to school and while she was there she avoided all contact with them and then she went home and locked herself in her room. Each morning she woke up to missed calls and text messages. Eventually she blocked them, except for Farkle. He didn't do anything wrong in fact he was the only one who stood by her during this. She knew he didn't deserve the way she was treating him. She felt bad but right now she just wanted to be alone. A week passed by and she still didn't talk to anyone. She didn't cry anymore, but she was in this state where she was emotionless. Nothing and nobody bothered her and nothing or nobody made her happy. She had dark circles under her eyes 24/7 from not getting enough sleep. She had slipped into this state that was almost dream like. She wasn't living her life anymore, it was just passing before her. Farkle grew tired of seeing her like that.
"Guys we need to talk." Farkle said, slamming his tray on the lunch table.
"About what?" Lucas asked.
"What do you think!?" Farkle practically yelled.
"He's talking about Riley." Maya said with a saddened look on her face.
"Well it looks like she's seemed to except it." Lucas shrugged.
"Lucas, we lost her. Riley is gone." Maya said sternly.
"She's completely emotionless and won't respond to anyone. I don't know what to do!" Farkle said, running his fingers through his hair.
"Maybe we just give her space. If she's going to avoid us then let's just avoid her." Lucas stated.
"Lucas, how could you say that!" Maya exclaimed standing up.
"Guys! This is tearing our friendships apart! We have the strongest bond I've ever seen. Are we really going to through that away because of this?" Farkle said.
"You're right." Maya said. "We need to stick together. And hopefully Riley will come around."
"I shouldn't have said those things. Even if I don't love her the way she wants me to, I still love her as my sister and I care about her very much." Lucas admitted.
"We need to get our Riley back. I can't live in a world without her. I- I can't." Farkle said pacing. Maya hugged him.
"Don't worry. We'll get her back."
