Just an average Sunday, nothing much happens as not many people know about Phoenix Drop as we are just a small village sandwiched between quite a few larger and more well known villages. So in hope to 'spice up' my walk to the guard post to get the key for their stables I decided to take the longer walk through the market. This time of a morning the market is usually at its busiest but also its prettiest as the sun is still rising... I mean, first come first serve right? Who doesn't want to get the good stuff before it goes?
I continued my little walk admiring all the stalls selling freshly baked pies, but just as i went to turn my head to look else where i walked straight into deep blue fabric. And no, I couldn't just walk through it as there was a Garroth on the other side of it.He must have felt me walk into him as his first reaction was to catch me before hitting the floor. "I swear to Irene you are such a cluts Darcie" he smiled THAT smile, like the 'prince charming' smile that all the girls love, and then everything in my body just didn't know how to function- thanks a lot Garroth-.
"I-uh... my cu-apologies... I meant apologies" So not only have I lost function over my body, my brain has decided to hate me and whatever came out my mouth.
"Off to the guard post for the key again?" he asked with a nod off me for a response.
"no training is needed, they all know the basics, its just grooming- Personally they should be well groomed if they are going out representing Phoenix Drop" I got control over my legs and stood back up, properly.
"Shall I walk you down then?" he asked and I nodded again."It'll be nice to have company" I smiled as we both started walking in the direction of the guard post. It was a silent walk, the odd sound of birds chirping, but clearly both of us had nothing to say, honestly it was nice- just the two of us admiring the village and watching any few foxes or deer's run by... that was until we reached the guard post and had to separate.
"I'm on duty for another few hours, but when I get back, I'll come help out with the horses" he bowed a little as he took my hand and kissed the back of it with a little smile afterwards."Uh- yeah, I wont be done until sometime after noon, you know where to find me, right?" I asked and he nodded in response.
"Of course I do M'lady" his voice softened more which, might I add, was very hot... Stupid Garroth and your irresistible charms- but not long after he had left to go back to his duties.
Once I retrieved the key, I had to walk around the back because Dante and Laurence like to tease me about Garroth, so I avoid going through the normal way to the stables, plus I get to climb over fences- its more fun than walking through a door.
-A little while later-
.:Garroth's POV:.
I walked through the backway to the stables to see Darcie chase after Jefferson- no idea why but it was funny to watch since I know he will start taunting her. I leaned against the fence as I watched the two run about in circles and I saw why, he stole the only brush we had for the grooming.
"I swear to Irene I will get that hose if you dont put the brush down!" Darcie yelled and Jefferson slowly dropped the brush but the second he saw Darcie move he picked it backup and trotted around the field knowing she cant catch up. "Are you just going to sit there Blondie? He is your horse after all, a little help would be nice" She rolled her eyes as I climbed over the fence."Alright, play time is over, drop the brush" I put my hand on his back as he lowered the brush to the floor. "Good boy" I lightly patted him as Darcie went to pick up the brush to groom him. "I'm sorry about that, but I can make it up to you- I'll take you for a ride through the forest, just the three of us" I asked and she raised a brow.
"Three? Laurence better not be coming along" She narrowed her eyes a little.
"You, me and Jefferson- three" I chuckled and she hid behind the horse looking clearly embarrassed about something. "whaaaat are you doing?" I asked and leaned over the horse to see what she was up to.
"I'm grooming his belly, what does it look like?" she giggled and continued to brush him. I walked back to Jefferson's pen to collect the saddle whilst she brushed him, petting the horses along the way. Once I had picked up the saddle and turned around to walk back, I noticed Darcie on the back of the horse. "Awe come onnnn we dont need a saddle" She smiled "If we are going for this ride it wont be a long one so putting that on is pointless" She finished and I walked back to the two and walked the two out the pen before hopping on and riding out the village.
-Lil while laterrrr-
.:Your POV:.Okay so Garroth is a really warm person, like he is a mini heater. One of his arms wrapped around my waist, the other lightly holding onto Jefferson's mane... and dont get me started over his warm breath bouncing off my neck, sending little chills through my body...
We had passed many small waterfalls and lakes, ooooh and a little family of deer's and rabbits! However, Garroth wouldn't let me pet them... or take a rabbit home, but next time I see one I will take it home and name it Killian because why not?
A few moments passed and we were heading back to the village but taking a different route and on the way home I noticed a small camp behind all the trees and bushes, it was odd because not that many people travel out this far...
