I woke up fairly earlier than usual, to be honest, I never actually slept at all last night. Something about that guy in the forest ways toying with my mind. At first i thought it was cute because yeah hes attractive but it was most of the night which then did get annoying at some point, even Chief agrees.
I was walking down to Kiki's place as she had arranged a 'dog play date' for all the dogs in Phoenix Drop and Chief took a liking to it- because he was bribed with an all you can eat buffet, typical.
-le lil while later cus i aint writing about everything-
Walking back from Kiki's I crossed paths with the one and only Laurence. My initial reaction was to just walk away but instead I caught myself walking over to him before tapping his shoulder.
"I need a word with you" I glared at him and he was very confused.
"Huh?" He responded with a raised eyebrow.
"Okay teasing me is one thing but telling others is another thing... because of you I had to wear a dress!" I huffed and he just laughed. "I don't find this hilarious" I said with a straight face.
"I wish I was around to see that, I bet you looked so ridiculous!" He held onto his stomach laughing, I rolled my eyes and walked over to Garroth since he was close by.
""Hey, can I borrow your sword... it's for training" I smiled trying to act all innocent about it.
"Training with who?" He seemed concerned about it.
"It's a last minute sparring match with Laurence, got to make sure he is alert because we cant have him being lost in thought and then being attacked, he has to be alert for anything.... riiiight?" I smiled again as Garroth handed me his sword. "Thank youuuu" I thanked before walking back to Laurence, pointing the sword at him. "Sparring match, right here right now" I said with a little smirk.
"Uh no" He rolled his eyes.
"Uh yeah, if were being attacked would you just not fight back or something?" I raised a brow.
"I will attack then, but you're small and know nothing about that sword" He crossed his arms.
"Fine I'll take first swing" I went to take my hit when Laurence instinctively blocked it.
"What part of 'no' don't you understand?" He asked whilst blocking my hits.
"When it comes from you, no, no I don't" I shrugged and managed to get a hit on his arm which actually made me feel proud of myself. "See I know what I'm doing Laurence" I smiled and went to go give Garroth his sword back.
"Like you know you'll be doing Garroth soon?" He smirked and chuckled slightly. I dropped the sword to the floor and turned to face him with a slight glare before going to pounce on him.
But just before my feet could leave the ground, I was held back. "Garroth let me go!" I growled a little swinging my arms at Laurence hoping that would get me any closer to him.
"I don't know who Garroth is but that sure ain't me" I recognized that voice from yesterday, I looked over my shoulder to see the masked hunk from the woods. I was very pleased to see him because something about him just makes me happy, but Laurence wasn't too fond of him. "Come on, let's get you home before you decide to lash out again" He said with a slight smile, picking up Garroth's sword and wiping the few drops of blood onto his jeans.
He had his hand just behind my shoulder so if I tried to run back to Laurence he could stop me.
Not long later we found Garroth, I handed him his sword back and watched him glare at the masked hunk of a guy. "I see you've made a friend" Garroth said before attaching his sword to the side of his belt glaring at the fact his hand was by my shoulder.
"Uh yeah, I met him yesterday... he stopped the horse from running away" I smiled slightly and the unnamed man just nodded before turning away, bringing me with him.
"Oh, the uh reason why I came to find you was because you left your bag" He said as he handed it over to me.
"Oh, I'm sorry" I took the bag and smiled slightly. "Oh, do you want to stay for a drink? I took my dog out for a play date so my house is completely free right now and I don't have any plans" I suggested and it took him a minute or two before nodding in agreement and heading back down to my place.
---
Not long later we were sat in the kitchen, him with his coffee and me with my hot chocolate because coffee isn't nice- I have it for when guests come arouns.
"So... when can I catch your name?" I asked taking a sip of the milky chocolate goodness.
"I don't find it easy to trust people I just met" He shrugged.
"I only ask so I know how to address you, but if you aren't comfortable then I won't ask anymore" I took another sip of my drink, watching him play with his cup.
"Tell me something about you that you have never told anyone else, not even your closest friends... please" He asked before taking off his bandanna but staring at the ground, not expecting this question I forgot how breathing worked before letting out a little sigh.
"I'm an only child- my parents didn't want me, they hated me half the time... I was practically raised by my dads head guard because I could breathe a certain way and I would get the shit beaten out of me" I stared at the table with this guy still in my line of vision, clearly looking shocked as if he was wanting another answer.
"I'm sorry...." He said as he wrapped his bandanna around his wrist and then looking around the room like he is trying to find the right words.
"My name is Aaron" He smiled.
