This is a complete retelling of a movie from my childhood. There will be different characters, in other words, OCs. I thank MagicMovieNerd for helping me.

A world swirling in grey and black clouds. Soon they started to take shape. A ship was sailing across the sea looking for adventure as the waves crashed. It changed into a large mansion with only one lit window as a hound howled and lightning flashed, symbolizing something horrible was happening in that house. Once again, it changed. This time into a knight with a sword and shield battling a dragon. The dragon roared as it breathed fire at the knight, though the shield protected him. Black clouds swarming once again until it was dark. Until lightning flashed.

A young girl about eleven with long red hair, fair skin and blue eyes woke up from both the lightning and the dream.

"What a weird dream," she said as she turned on her flashlight and reached under her pillow to pull out her favorite book for comfort, which was The Secret Garden.

It always gave her pleasure when she imagined that place, to be with nature and let it heal you.

She liked the story of how two children who were both miserable in their own ways found happiness in that garden. For several days, this girl had been going through a tough time, and was trying her best to get comfort.

The girl wondered if there was ever a place similar to that. A world where happiness and imagination combined would ease one's woe and make life better.

She sighed as she turned her flashlight off and put her book away. Then, she laid down and went back to sleep.

The following day, which was a long school day, the girl came out of school. She was dressed in a blue and white T-shirt for her favorite soccer team, denim jeans, a navy blue and white baseball cap, white socks, and blue sneakers. Now aside from books, the girl was a tomboy who loved sports, too.

"Hey, Michelle!" a boy's voice called out to the girl. He was her age with lightly tanned skin, brown hair and eyes. He wore a yellow T-shirt with a black dolphin symbol on the chest, under a short sleeved red jacket with a pocket on each side of chest, dark blue pants, white socks, white and red sneakers with white soles, and a light brown cap which had goggles. The cap left a tuft of his hair out in the front.

"Hey, Taj," Michelle greeted the boy. Taj was Michelle's best friend and neighbor.

"There's a soccer game coming soon. Wanna practice after school?" Taj asked as he looked at Michelle.

"Don't we have a test on Lord of the Flies on Friday?" Michelle rubbed her chin. She was glad they finished the book since she didn't care for it, but now she remembered a test that their teacher had announced for Friday. As a book reader, Michelle wanted to do well.

"Ah, come on! It's Monday - we've got four more days! The test can wait. Let's play some soccer!" Taj smugly grinned and insisted.

"Well, if it isn't Bookworm Michelle," a voice taunted.

The two friends turned around and saw a big and buff boy with ginger hair, green eyes, and freckles; he was wearing a blue jersey with a brown buffalo on the front, black shorts, and light brown hiking boots. This was Dexter Hannigan, the school's bully.

"What do you want, Dexter?" Taj glared.

Dexter sneered, "I hear Miss Bookworm is a tomboy, but she's got her mind on books instead of sports! That doesn't make sense in my book!" He then spat on the ground, a few inches away from Michelle's foot.
