Five never came back that night. It's been 6 months since Five left. Astoria was a reck. Her best friend ran away. He promise that he'd come back and they'd run away together. He didn't even say goodbye to her. Who knows where he could have gone. He made a deal that they'd leave this place together, but here's Astoria now, sitting on Five's bed, looking up at the many equations on his wall. Her eyes swelled up and glossed over. One single tear falls down her cheek. Everyday Astoria was lonely. Yes she had Klaus and the others, but she loved Five. She loved him in the way of wanting a future with him and growing old together. She wanted to tell him how she felt, but now she doesn't have a choice to.
Ash took a breath and began talking to the air and wall. "I know you can't hear me, but I just wanted to say that I miss you, Five. Like crazy. I do. I miss us scaring the shit out of Klaus, racing downstairs -you winning cause your teleportation is faster than mine. But hey, I gained control of me floating in my sleep. I can now fly to my full potential. Dad doesn't know still." Astoria drops the small smile that formed. "I can fly in and out of places now. I could leave if I want to, but this is the only place where I can be with the memory of you. Your bed still smells like you." She clutches a pillow his her lap. "I miss you so much Five." She starts crying again. "You left before I could tell you how I felt. You probably wouldn't have felt the same, but I at least wanted you to know." Ash clutches the pillow once more and lets all her tears out. "Ugh. I want to see you again."
The pillow soaks up all her tears. She throws it at the wall and gets up. She heads over to the wardrobe and looks at the carvings she found before. She runs her fingers over the letters. She chokes on her tears as she clutches the side of the wardrobe. She hit the wood with her palm then the side of her fist. She quickly goes over to her room through the wall and grabs the knife Diego gave her. She grasped it in her hand tight. She went back over to Five's room and started scratching the letters. The once 'Ash and Five forever' turns into a mess of knife marks. The wood slivers fall the the ground. Once Ash feels like enough damage had been dealt, she drops the knife and her hands start to shake rapidly. She starts to grab her head and tug on her hair. She goes back into her room and starts pacing.
