Astoria's lifeless body laid in a coma; isolated for 14 years. Her mind was all over the place in the dark conscious of her mind. She had many dreams of her and Five growing up together, leaving the academy, getting married, and having kids. Her dreams were causing her emotions to get stronger and stronger. Reginald needed to figure out a way to get her emotions and powers under control. Her powers and emotions are what's keeping her in a coma. If he can find a way to help her control them, she could wake up finally.
When Reginald sent Luther to the moon, Luther had found a weird glowing rock. He brought it into her space shuttle and broke the rock up. He had found a rainbow colored jewel in the rock. He informed Reginald and the man did his research. Luther had sent the jewel down back to earth and Reginald had put in the rock into the component and material machine. He found out the jewel was a mood rock. The rainbow colors representing the different moods. He never told Luther why he needed it though.
Reginald needed to do experiments on the jewel and he first infused some of the jewel into some glass. He then made some non prescription glasses for the girl. If Astoria ever wakes up, the glasses will help contain her emotions and block her mind control powers. The mind control caused her eyes to turn purple when she uses it, but her normal brown color always have the small white flecks in them now.
Astoria's life was looking up when March 24th came around. That day, Reginald Hargreeves had passed away in dis sleep due to heart failure. Now, Reginald was helping Astoria with her coma, but just 2 hours after the man died, Astoria shoots up from the metal table with a loud gasp. Her breaths speed up but she soon catches it. She looks around and sees that shes in a weird room. This room was oddly familiar. It was the room from her dream where she blasted Pogo with a purple beam of light. Before she woke up, every dream that she had played through her mind. All these different emotions came to her at once. The dreams gave her flashes of Five and her and all the nightmares she had that had Five dying over and over again or her hitting the people she loved and cared about.
