After their busy night fighting off Five's assassins, they headed up to Five's room and rested up for the next day ahead of them.
Astoria fell asleep quickly, but Five could not for his life go to sleep. His mind was spinning all night. The end of the world, the apocalypse, and Astoria were the things running on his mind.
He came back to stop the apocalypse from happening, but he forgot the fact that he would see Ash again. He did think it was weird that she was still 16 when he found her, so when he got to the Commission and found out what exactly she possessed, his mind was wracked.
If Astoria's new powers could cause the end of the world, was she the cause of the apocalypse? He didn't want it to be true, but there was more to this timeline than he knew. Maybe Astoria wasn't the cause, but she could be of use to help stop it or have information.
"If only I had stayed here with you." Five whispers to himself as he caresses Ash's cheek with his index finger.
He may have the mentality of an 84 year old and the body of a 16 year old, but his love for Astoria was light years long. She was technically 30 and trapped in her 16 year old body, but she also never had a life outside of being 16. She missed out on so much of her life because of Five. She wouldn't have been in a comma if he didn't jump.
To get his mind off of Astoria and their impending doom, he got out of his bed, that weirdly smelled of Astoria already. "Did she sleep in here before?" Five questions. Walking to the bathroom, he gets a first aid kit and starts stitching up his wound on his forearm and bicep.
He was patching up his bicep when the bed shifted beside him. Ash had woke up from her slumber after hearing Five hiss at his stitching.
