You're in the middle of a storm, and you're busy pulling the rope of the sail while you're already drenching from the pouring rain. And anytime soon, your boat might sink.
You've got people you learned you can't trust anymore, problems at work, or you're on the brink of losing your finances. Relationships seem so complicated, grades as good as dead, or you can't find a job that you'd be joyful of.
Your life feels like you're just always persevering, and there seems nothing to be happy about. You don't even understand how you got here in this situation.
Time is too precious now to be spent in celebration.
Who would even dare celebrate in this kind of situation?
What's there to be happy about?
Why should you even stop saving yourself for a mere, nonsensical, celebration?
It's absurd. It is illogical, unreasonable.
Only crazy people would do that. Or so what you might think.
But aren't Christian sometimes seen as crazy people by the world? Believing that the virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus, conceived the Lord is crazy. Believing that a mere boy can kill a giant using few, small stones is crazy. Miracles and impossible things that came to pass are crazy.
Yet that's God working.
How He works will always blow our minds. So even when it seems crazy, even when everything is going down, even on the verge of losing everything, including the most special people or things in your life, celebrate Jesus.
The-one-who-saves Jesus.
Remember the day of your salvation. Celebrate that moment when you reconciled with God. Remember the identity that you received. Celebrate His goodness, His love and the peace that He gives no matter the situation is. Celebrate the plans and eternal hope that He has in store for you. Celebrate the Lord who heals, provides, and sustains with His grace.
He is always worthy to be celebrated. He even is the very reason why you can celebrate.
He gave His life so that you can live yours to the fullest. He left His heaven, He came down to die and save you from sin so that you can experience every good and amazing thing He offers.
Take a moment to think, realize, speak, act, and live that truth. Remind yourself again and again of that overflowing love that's willing to leave His home to save, even when His life is at stake.
He defeated sin and conquered the grave. He has won every battle. There's nothing He cannot do.
Your time isn't wasted because that celebration, even in the midst of the most destructive storm, will let you see miracles. So, look at your situation from the perspective of victory and breakthrough.
Celebrate Jesus and let your mind be blown away.
Celebrate even when it seems crazy because who He is and what He does is always beyond understanding.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9
(This is an upbeat song that will really lift up your soul.)
