"Oh my god, that was awful," Harry laughs as we walk down the street, still laughing about what had just occurred back at my apartment.

I nod my head in agreement, intertwining our fingers together as we walked side by side to an unknown destination. Harry hadn't told me where we were going, saying it was a surprise and that I'd have to wait until we got there to find out.

It was pure satisfaction watching the way Harry easily brushed McKenna off as she practically threw herself at him, embarrassing herself more and more with each passing second. The look on her face was payback enough for all of the times she was rude to me. I couldn't wait to see what her reaction would be when I got home. She'd probably already have a boy over, letting off her steam onto him.

"Has she always been like that?" Harry asks me.

"Yeah," I reply, taking a deep breath, "Ever since we were little."

Harry hums at my words, squeezing my hand a bit tighter, "Do you ever think that maybe it's because she's jealous?" He suggests, glancing at me for a split second.

I let out a sarcastic laugh, "Why would she be jealous of me?"

The idea alone was rather stupid. There's no way McKenna would be jealous of me. There was no reason to be jealous of me in the first place. She had all the looks while I had the brains, and we all know who gets chosen between the two. When it came to looks, having the brains no longer mattered.

"Seriously?" Harry asks, stopping on the sidewalk, "Aurora, you're so much more beautiful than her. It's not even what matters on the outside. You're beautiful inside and out while McKenna is just beautiful on the outside. She'd be stupid not to be jealous of you."

His words shock me, never having heard those words spoken aloud before. My parents used to say the same thing and I never believed them, feeling like that's just what they had to say since they were my parents. Actually hearing those words being said from a guy was completely different.

What was even better, was that Harry really did make me feel beautiful. I've never felt more confident in my entire life, Harry helping me feel that way in every single kiss or small touch. Even when we were just friends, he made me feel like I was the only one who mattered when we spent time together. If only Harry could realize how much he's impacted my life within these past two months.

"Thank you," I smile at him, leaning forward to place my lips against his.

He kisses me softly, one hand intertwined with mine while the other softly caresses the side of my face, his fingers slipping easily into my hair. Even though he still tasted like mint and sugar, there was just a hint of the summer night air on his lips that sent a wave of ecstasy coursing through my veins. I clutched at his shirt, pulling him closer to me.

Harry hums softly, pulling away from me, "We need to go or else we're going to be late," he says, brushing my hair away from my face.

"Okay," I sigh, feeling cold and empty now that his lips weren't pressed against mine, "but one more kiss."

He smiles at me before leaning his head down and resting his lips on mine, making this one count before we had to separate once more. "There," he chuckles before he starts walking again, pulling me with him.
