Nagito's POV

It was the day after Hajime had gotten my number and texted me. I had a day off from work, and used the day to constantly text Hajime. I mean, this was almost like a dream come true, how could I not seize this opportunity?

I texted him again, 'Hey'

We'd had a few conversations at this point, but I wanted to talk to him more.

A few seconds after I sent that text, I got a text from a different person. It was my coworker, Chiaki Nanami. We worked at the local GameStop together, and had been best friends ever since our first day on the job. The text was 'I swear to Christ the next person that tries to return a broken console is going to get bitch slapped'

I laughed and texted back, 'One of those days, huh?'

'Yeah' Chiaki responded.

That's when I got a text back from Hajime, 'Hello'

'What r u doing?'

'I'm just cleaning up my apartment. wby?'

'Enjoying a day off from work.'

Then I got a text from Chiaki. 'Someone just yelled at me for being on my to text you while no one was in the store.'

'That sucks'

'Working here has been my dream since I was, like, ten, but I didn't think I would have as many bad customers.'

'So sorry you have to deal with them.'

I got another text from Hajime. 'I have a shift at four, so I'm trying to clean up as well as possible.'

'Why are you cleaning up?'

'I just don't like living in a place where things are piled up everywhere.'

'My place isn't super clean, but it's clean enough to where I don't look like a slob.'

'I can't stand people who just let things pile up and almost never clean up after themselves.'

Then, I got another text from Chiaki. I kept going back and forth from talking to Hajime and Chaiki. It had been an hour when I decided to stop. I looked around my house. Why did everything seem dirtier than usual? I noticed all the dishes I hadn't washed, the books and mangas I had put on tables but had never put back up, and even how dusty some of my shelves were.

I decided to get out some cleaning supplies and clean around my house. I put things back in their proper place, vacuumed the carpets, and mopped the floors. I guess Hajime convinced me to clean my house.

Once I was done, I checked my phone. I didn't have texts from either of them. I guess I didn't have to go back and forth between conversations anymore. I put up my cleaning supplies, turned on the TV in my living room, and tried to enjoy the rest of my day off.
