The dark haired male ran his fingers through his slightly spiked up hair, while his companion,a slightly shorter male with brown-blonde short hair, paced about the room, looking tense.
"We need to get going,"
The shorter one murmured, his tone thick with a British accent. The taller glanced at him,
"I know Yami,but aren't you a bit..."
"Nervous?"
Yami supplies, and the other nods. The Brit walks over, wrapping his arms around the taller's waist, leaning up to peck his cheek.
"Yes,Mark,I'm nervous. Why wouldn't I be?"
Mark couldn't provide an answer, and simply kissed Yami's forehead, before they turned to face the front door, the shorter slipping his hand into Mark's. They had spawned in a simple looking house, and it didn't take long to find that a few rooms had weapons contained inside. Multiple guns, boxes of ammo, and some grenades. Needless to say, they left those room rather quickly. Mark took a deep breath, pushed up his glasses and opened the door,Yami following just behind him. They had been briefly informed by everyone else that everyone would meet up at the centre of the map before the lines went dead. The earpieces that allowed them to talk to each other were snug in their ears, emitting soft static that quickly turned to white noise.
It had also been suggested that if you see anyone who didn't join the call, that you would have them follow you to the meetup zone. So,when two familiar voices who hadn't been talking called their names, the pair of gamers turned immediately. A smile spread across Mark's face as he waved back to the owners of the voices. They ran up,panting slightly,
"H-Hey Mark,Yami."
"Hey Bob,Wade,"
Mark greets, grinning broadly at the other two,who weakly smile back.
"I assume you didn't get the call?"
Yami asks, peering at the other two curiously.
"No,"
Wade says,catching his breath,
"We got our earpieces working just as the lines cut out."
"Ah,that sucks. Well, everyone's meeting up at the centre,so let's stick together,"
Mark intervenes, and the three nod,and begin to walk in the general direction of the clump of buildings. They kept a fast pace, and soon enough, the buildings loomed ahead, dark and rather menacing. They glance at each other, before apprehensively continuing. As the clearing in the middle of the buildings came into view, all four gawked at what they saw.
Sorry it's a bit short,but I'll write more,don't worry.
