Kat~~~~~~~

I decided to text Selena and skip today's meeting. I arrived home to Damien leaning on my bike, texting on his phone. I rolled my eyes and drove passed him into the garage. He entered after me, parking the motorcycle where it supposed to be. As I got out and walked into the house Damien continued to follow me.

I turned to face him, "Can I help you?"

He chuckled. "I realized we never actually got to speak at the mall." I just stared at him blankly. "Does that mean you've got no type of plans at all." He said this as he grabbed an apple and took a bite out of it.

"Did you ask?" He stared at me in confusion, so I grabbed the apple from his hand and waved it in from of his face. "Did you ask if you could have this? No you didn't. It's impolite not to ask for things in people's homes." I almost felt like a comedian from how hard he was laughing. A smile formed on my face and I threw the apple at him, which he caught with no problem.

Damien returned to the original subject. "Anyways, plans. Do you have any?"

"Nope. Absolutely nothing. It's actually kind of hard to come up with plans to spy on my husband." He shook his head in response.

"C'mon, Kat. You guys do this on a daily basis. I know you can think of the things you normally do."

"Yeah, but my ideas always end up with me in a gun fight."

He laughed at that. "I highly doubt you'll end up in a gun fight with your husband. But, then again he is suspected of terrorism by the CIA." I narrowed my eyes at him and he soon realized what he said, immediately shutting his mouth.

"Alex isn't a part of a conspiracy. There's some sort of mistake."

Damien stared at me with pity. "C'mon Kat. When have you ever known the CIA to make a 'mistake.' And if there is a mistake, the result isn't even that far from what they had originally believed."

I just stared at the table. We decided to get down to business and started discussing Alex.

"What kind of person is he?"

"Do you want the response from a CIA agent or the woman in the relationship with him?" He smiled, easing the tension from the room.

"Let me get the CIA version, since I feel like the relationship one could have a possible dirty side to it."

"Ha ha. Well, his name is Alex Caine. He's turning 30 in few months. He took over the company a few months ago after his father finally decided to pass it down to him."

"What made his father suddenly decide to pass it down after so long?"

"His dad wanted him to get his bachelors and masters degree. Alex finished that about 2 years ago, but he wasn't 'suitable' for the position because he was a playboy, with a love for alcohol and models."

"Okay but what made him give Alex the opportunity to run a company n-" he cut himself and shook his head in realization. "You. You came into the picture and changed him."

"I doubt you could say changed. And I doubt I had much of a part in it, but Alex says that his father finally gave him the company because he stopped the partying and drinking."

"But he did stop all that for you." Damien commented.

"I guess." Damien eyed me for a few seconds, as if trying to read me. "What?" I asked him curiously.

"Nothing. When and where did you guys meet?"

"About 7 months ago at a charity event that his parents hosted. I was there with Dylan, so that he could use his spying skills on some girl that interested him. She invited him and I ended up being his date to make her jealous, or whatever his plan was."

"I'm pretty sure that's kind of creepy, but honestly Dylan is so cool, it doesn't come off as weird."

I laughed. "That is true." I looked at the time and realized that Alex would be here soon. "We'll continue this tomorrow because Alex is gonna be here soon and it would be better if you guys didn't meet in our home." I walked him to the front door then realized he doesn't have a ride. "I'm guessing you are gonna need the motorcycle?"

He smiled sheepishly at me and nodded. I shook my head, watching him pull the keys out of his pocket. "You know the CIA can give you a rental car."

"Why get a rental car, when I could ride around on this bad ass of a machine." I laughed at him.

10 minutes later, the alarm let me know the garage door was opened. I walked into the kitchen to find Alex with a hot fudge cake sitting on the island. I then realized I am such a horrible wife.

"I'm so sorry. I totally forgot to buy the wings! I was so busy, it didn't even come to mind. I'll make something quickly." I started shuffling around the kitchen, when suddenly I heard Alex laughing. He came up behind me and put a bag on the counter behind me. Buffalo Wild Wings.

"I had a feeling, so I bought the wings just in case." I smiled and turned to face him.

"What if I did buy them?"

"Then it would have just been more for me." Alex leaned down and kissed me. I pulled back and stuck my tongue out at him. He laughed. "You are so childish."

I scoffed. "And you aren't?"

"I am, but c'mon Kitty. I'm at the bottom of the childish scale compared to you."

"Says the guy that gave Nick the strangest shirt." I giggled at his frown.

"You're the one that dumped a bucket of water on him, while he was sleeping."

"He shouldn't have been sleeping in your office."

"He said the guest bedroom was too far from him."

"There's one downstairs!"

"C'mon Kat we all know Nick is pretty complicated. Expect the unexpected from him as well as complete laziness."

"So expect you is what you're trying to say."

"Woah. Back up. I am not like Nick."

"You kind of are. You're always groaning about simple chores and you never wanna move to get the remote. And you tend not to go to the gym, I mean I can already see some flab coming in." I poked his belly.

Suddenly, I'm picked up and thrown over Alex's shoulder. He carries me upstairs to our bedroom. He tosses me on the bed and removes his shirt. "Does this look like flab to you?" He asked as he flexed all his muscles in poses. I giggled at him, so he climbed on the bed and started tickling me. I really started laughing, to the point where I felt pain in my abdomen.

"Stop!" I screamed, gasping for air. "You are so annoying!"

"But you love me so it's all worth it." He smirked at me, so I stuck my tongue out at him again. "To make it fair, I'll love you too. Eventually."

"You already love me."

"That I do." He said, while staring into my eyes. He leaned down to kiss me. I felt his hand grab my waist and pull me closer, so that there wasn't space between us. I moaned as his mouth trails away from my lips down to my neck. My hands were in his hair, pulling him as close to me as possible. He groaned in satisfaction. His one hand traveled to my hair and his mouth met mine again. As soon as he had both his hands on the hem of my shirt ready to pull it off, we heard the doorbell ring, for the second time in two days.

I groaned at the annoying ring of the doorbell. "Just leave it Kat. They'll probably just think we aren't home."

I paused, but the bell continued so I just shrugged in irritation and made my way down the stairs to the front door. I barely looked at the person that was at the other side of the door. Then I heard a long whistle and, "Wow sis. Pretty nice house you got here. Kinda sucks that I didn't get invited to the wedding though." My eyes widened and I saw my brother for the first time in years.
