Kat~~~~~~~

As soon as I left Alex, I got a text from Jax saying to get here fast. I got into my car and broke a bunch of speed limits on the way there. When I got to Selena and Jax's place, I parked quickly and raced out of the car. I entered their apartment building and found them standing there.

"What's going on? Is everything alright." I started panicking because they weren't responding, just staring at me. All of a sudden Selena doubled over and the first thing I heard before I could react was laughter.

"I'm s-sorry Jax. I couldn't keep it in." Selena was gasping for breath and trying to force herself to stop laughing.

Jax started laughing too. "You suck babe." I realized they were messing with me and glared at them.

She stuck her tongue out at him, "You still love me."

"I seriously don't like either of you. I'm leaving." I stomped away from them, annoyed with their childish behavior.

"Oh c'mon, Kat. Kat! It was just a joke!" I heard Selena's footsteps following me.

I got into my car as she entered the passenger seat and Jax got into the backseat. Selena grabbed her drink and took a sip. She scrunched her face up in disgust. Jax took his and drank it not caring that it was sitting in my car for about 30 minutes.

"I don't understand why you're face is still stuck like that. You are lucky I even got it for you." Selena rolled her eyes at my comment.

"Whatever. The only reason it's cold is because you were sucking-"

I cut her off, "Finish that sentence and I will push you out of the car. I'm sure you can handle it."

"The car isn't even moving and all I was going to say was that you were sucking his face off." Maybe she just had a death wish.

"If you are gonna talk it's probably better to talk to us than to yourself." Jax started laughing at Selena's "words of wisdom" and I realized I said it out loud.

I ignored her comment and asked her where we were going.

Jax cut in, "We have to meet up with Dylan and Damien at Sur, so just head that way."

I started driving in the direction of Sur, which is a restaurant where we conducted most of our meetings. Dylan knew the owner, so she always had a corner table reserved for us when we needed it. The food was great and I loved the setting.

"So who's Damien?" I asked curious as to why a new person would be at a meeting.

"Dylan will introduce you when we get there. I don't know the whole story, all I know is that he's new to the CIA."

"Did you do a background check?"

Selena intervened, "Unfortunately for you Kat, we did not. You are the only person that would take time out of their day to look up a person's history."

I glanced at her in confusion, "It's a safety precaution. You guys don't do it with new people you meet?"

"No Hun, it's just you."

"Honestly who would you look up?" Jax asked.

"You. Dylan. Pretty much everyone. Even Alex."

"Wait me? For what?"

"Because I'm not going to work with you if I don't know you."

"That is what face to face meetings are for. To get to know a person."
