Dr Lorelei Jareau had seen more than her fair share of pain. She had never known life as a child, spending those years soothing the nightmares her father couldn't shake and cleaning the wounds left on her sister. Becoming an adult before her time had done nothing to harm her, but her circumstances had turned her heart to ice. She had lost too much and another heartbreak would leave her permanently wounded. Lorelei was not planning on letting another person into her life.
However, through her years at Seattle Grace, her heart had thawed. Finding friends in places she had never thought to look, she finds herself able to trust again. She built herself a life she would be devastated to lose. It all threatens to crumble as she is thrown to the cold once more.
