His Mentor.

The ancient village of hampi is situated in the karnataka state of India. This place is famous for the ruins of ancient temples.
But very few people know that this place holds many secrets too. It is believed by many historians that one of these ruines has a secret passage that leads to a secret village . But no one has ever found it though many of them has lost their lives over it.

Naagraj is here today to uncover the same secret. After his auction, his creator and master , professor Naagmani as he is calls himself has ordered him to come here. The one who had bid the highest amount for Naagraj has ordered him to find a lost statue that is said to be hidden here. He is told by Naagmani that there is a hidden temple where he will get the statue . He is also warned that there might be some obstructions ,but it is unknown to them. But he is confident as to what can stop him . He has never been defeated in his entire life . His physical and intellectual strengths are par to none.

Naagraj was right in thinking highly of his powers. But he wasn't entirely right in assuming that he cannot be defeated as today he was going to meet someone who exceeded him in everything.
Naagraj was careful in his quest and so far he hasn't encountered anything yet . This was a good and a bad thing . He needed to find something to move ahead . He has searched every ruin there is but he couldn't find anything out of ordinary. Just then he a strange looking statue . No ordinary person would have noticed it but Naagraj wasn't ordinary. That statue was in fact a clue pointing in a certain direction . Naagraj followed it and reached a secret door which led to a hidden tunnel. This tunnel was filled with snakes . But these were not a problem for Naagraj. He moved ahead easily. Outside the tunnel, there was an entire village that was completely hidden from the outer world . The village , the manner of its existence amazed Naagraj . But he could see that he would be unwelcomed here so he remained hidden while searching for the lost statue . He couldn't let any harm come to the statue as it's cost was in billions . What Naagraj didn't knew that this statue was more severely protected then he could ever imagine . Every person in this village , man or women , was a fighter and everyone was sworn to protect the statue. Naagraj may not have needed to fear them but their master was a totally different story.

Soon enough Naagraj discovered that the statue is hidden in the temple situated in the center of the village . But before he could go there he was discovered by the people . But no one was good enough to stop Naagraj. He easily defeated all of them . One of them fled the scene to call their master while others continued to fight Naagraj bravely but no effect.

When he thought that he had defeated everyone an old man with flowing white beard and calm stature faced Naagraj. Naagraj warned him to stay away as he would be no match for him . But Naagraj was in for a surprise . Any physical or psychological attacks of his were opposed by more powerful counterattacks . And all his snake powers were rendered useless by the old men's pet Shikangi who was a extremely powerful mongoose. Soon enough Naagraj was knocked unconscious .

While Naagraj laid unconscious, the old man was in awe of him. He had lived for more than 300 years but he had never faced a rival who had demanded his full power to be defeated . But more than his powers, it was his peculiar appearance that intrigued him. Expect his face, foot and hands his whole body was covered in green scales . He was a human but his skin resembled that of a serpent. His face was rather handsome but boyish. It had an innocence that his actions didn't resemble . He had seen this strange human releasing snakes from his arms. An it was the most intriguing sight. He had met a lot of snake shifters in his long life but no one possessed his kind of abilities .
He was curious and there was only one way to know , hypnotism , an ability that he had mastered long ago . If this person had hypnotised Naagrise in his conscious state , he would have found out that it is not easy to hypnotize him as himself possess great hypnotic powers but due to his unconscious state it was a rather easy task . By hypnotisment , he uncovered each and every secret of Naagraj that Naagraj knew about himself . Why he was there ? Who created him ? What are his powers ? everything. He also realised that Naagraj is in fact innocent who has been mislead . He is bound to obey Naagmani because of a chip that has been inserted in his mind that has paralyzed his mind . But the old men removed the chip and destroyed it .

When Naagraj finally came back to his senses , he didn't recognized himself . Then the old man told Naagraj everything he knew .

" Naagraj I have told you everything that I can discover about you . I have even removed the chip which forced you to abide by Naagmani. Now I want to ask you what is your thoughts on the path you were made to walk on ."

" I hate it Sir. I don't want to do that again . In fact if I can I would like to fight them . Let me be with you and learn." Naagraj said overcome with guilt.

" Naagraj you are a capable man . You don't need to learn anything right now . But your abilities are more profound than you believe them to be . With time you will discover them . If you want to fight the crime that has infested this world , it cannot be done by being here. So don't ask me to let you stay here, your destiny has other plans for you. These are disturbing times and the humanity needs you. And whenever you will need me just remember me with honesty and I will be there guiding you. "

" Then I will do as you say . But first sir ,please tell me about yourself. Who are you and what a person like you is doing here?"

" I am Gorakhnath. With years or yoga and meditation I have attained some spiritual powers . I am here as a protector of this divine temple . I cannot let anyone with wrong intentions to know about this place."

" From now on I will take care of it too . Baba Gorakhnath you have agreed to be my guide and mentor. Do tell me what should I do now ?"

" Naagraj first you need to eliminate crime. For that you already know have information about all those criminals present in your auction . Go to them and finish them . You will also need to take care of your creator for he is pure evil. But Naagraj I don't believe that is your only mission . You will know about it in due course of time. But till then stay true to yourself , make allies. No war could be  won alone but always remember that everyone has to fight his own fight alone . You will face both these situations . Choose well. My blessings will always be with you my child ."

With that Naagraj bid goodbye to Baba Gorakhnath and started on his journey. Baba Gorakhnath knew there was something about Naagraj that was a mystery but he had patience that truth will come out on its own time. He knew that destiny had planned great things for Naagraj . But as it is often seen that great man are bound to make great sacrifices too. Greatness always comes at cost of happiness . He prayed that this should not happen with him. But it wasn't in anyone hands . The path Naagraj had choosen was filled with thorns , and there was no way he would cross it without bleeding. But he promised himself , being his mentor he will never let him fight alone. From now on Naagraj will always be protected by him . But he had a feeling that one day his disciple would not need his protection, in fact he will surpass him someday . And he was eagerly waiting for that day to come.

As for Naagraj , he went on a mission to destroy terrorism from the world . He travelled different countries in search of those criminals and terrorists and finished them all . Some were arrested while others were killed by him . Soon enough he was known by public as a superhero. Men adored him, girls loved him and children admired him . He was hero worshipped . In his journey , he made many friends but none of them could be his allies . His path was too dangerous for him to allow anyone to walk on it with him . He had come to accept that he will always be alone in this fight as the one who chose to walk this path are.

But Naagraj didn't knew that he will get those allies . He will find people who would not only walk the path with him but would be ready to die for him too. He already thought the snakes living in his body as his friends . He could understand there language and so he named them as well . One of them had even become his greatest support and friend . But more of them for later.

While Naagraj is fighting against crime overseas, there is one such person who is fighting crime with equal ferver. He doesn't have extraordinary powers of Naagraj , but his compassion is no less, neither his popularity.
Little did they both know right now that there paths are meant to cross with each other. While one prefers to fight alone other leads his team . What will happen when they will meet and what impact it will have on one another?  Only time will tell.
