The Snake Princess.

When naagraj woke up today he didn't knew today will be any different. But it was. He was going to meet people he will make deep connection with. Only if he knew.

Naagraj had just fought with a supervillain saakura who had captured a  snakeman Or icchadhari naag. He also had stolen the naags mani ( a very precious and powerful stone.) Naagraj was successful in saving the mani but couldn't save the other mans life. While dying he told him that he is the king of an island and his people need this mani. And that he need to go there and give his sister that mani. So he went.

After reaching the place, he was told to by the naag, naagraj reached an island. When he went there he was stopped by some gaurds who wore really traditional attire with bare chest adorned with gold ornaments and a dhoti . He told them the purpose of his visit and they took him to the rajguru.

" What news you have brought youngman? And where is our king vishpriya? "

" I am afraid I haven't brought any good news for you sir. All I have come here to do is to handover this money to you that vishpriya had left with me as his last wish. " Naagraj told the rajguru after explaining to him everything that happened in last two days.

" Last wish. No you are lying. Vishpriya cannot die. He cannot leave me alone here. He is our king. He is king of naagdweep. " A voice said almost breaking and naagraj looked back to see the source of that voice.
A breathtaking beauty was coming to his direction completely distraught.

" I am not lying mam. I know it's hard but that's the only truth. "
Saying that naagraj wanted to give her the mani but she denied.

" By your description you have won this mani. And whatever knowledge I have of my scriptures tells me that it should be you who should present naagdevi with her mani. "

Everyone including the rajguru agreed to this suggestion. And they took him to the naagdevi temple where he presented the statue of naagdevi with the temple and by some miracle the garland on naagdevi flew on naagraj neck. Everyone present there starting chanting the name naagraj.

Naagraj got confused. Rajguru explained it to him. " Naagraj as you know after the death of our king, we citizens of naagdweep have become orphans. Our naagdewi had blessed you so from this moment onwards you are our king. "

Now naagraj was in a greater dilemma. He truly felt that visarpi should rule naagraj. But seeing no resistance in visarpi and every citizens devotion to hi, nagraaj accepted defeat.

" I agree with you all. But I have two conditions. First I will serve naagdweep to best of my abilities, but I will not hold the rajdand. It should be with you so the power of naagdweep stays with you. I might be the king now but you are the princess of naagdweep. Whatever I am taught by my mentor tells me that your blood and only your blood should carry the rajdand. "
