six of crows one-shots

Band AU

Okay, so, I know my writing isn't all that good, but I wanted to try this because I haven't seen one of these. It's a modern AU, where the crows are in Ketterdam high, hang out at the slat coffee shop, etc, but they ( Jesper, Wylan, Inej, Mattias, Nina ) are in a band, and they have Kaz manage it. I figure he would only perform if Inej asked him or he was getting paid.  Probably the latter of the two. Eh, sorry this A/N was so long, you don't have to read it. Sorry my writings iffy, but I hope you enjoy it! ( BTW.... 700 READS?!?!?!?!? Awesome thank you! )

Kaz frowned as he looked at his bank account. It had gone down to 9,8576 kruge, which was lower than it should have been. He rubbed his hand over his face as he mulled over why that was. 

Six Of Crows probably. 

The band called "Six Of Crows", which consisted of people he considered friends, would be bankrupt without him. He only did it because they paid him, either in cash or bits of information on anyone and anything. Definitely not because Inej asked him to, though. That would be absurd.                          The band was actually pretty good, though Kaz would never admit that himself.   But their planning and financial skills were incredibly awful, and they could barely afford to get into gigs these days, no matter what Wylan asked his father. 

So, Kaz called a meeting.

"Whadda mean I have to get a job?"    ( Jesper. I'm sure if you are still reading, you guessed )

Kaz rolled his eyes.       "Exactly what I said, doofus. If you idiots can't find a way to support the band, you're going under.    I don't feel like stealing anything today, so you'll have to make enough money for this gig, or you can't pay me, and I resign."

The Crows stared at him. All was silent.    For 20 seconds, then they were squabbling and talking, bothering each other, and trying to decide the best way to make money on the performance that night so that they could keep Kaz and the band.                   But through the chattering, Jesper was quietly plotting with Nina, and an evil grin spread across his face as he leaned over and whispered in her ear. She nodded, smirked, and ran out of the room, presumably to carry out Jesper's plan. 

Phweeeeeeeeeeet!

A sharp whistle rang, and everyone looked at Jesper, who had somehow managed to take Wylan's flute and played an awful note to get their attention. 

"Ladies and Gentlemen!  I present to you, our newest lead singer, manager, and highest-paid band member! Please welcome Kaaaaaaz Brekker!"       Jesper finished his announcement looking pleased with himself, but instead of being met with applause or silence, he was met with something rarely heard: Kaz laughing. 

Mattias looked at Jesper with raised brows. " Really?    He asked, quite incredulous,    The show is tonight, and there is no way the Demjin will agree unless we pay him an obscene amount. "

Wylan nodded, agreeing, while Kaz wiped the mirth from his face.     "In all seriousness Jesper, why on earth would you think it would work?"

"Weeeeeeeell,      Jesper started,          Two things: One, the fans have been asking who the sixth crow is, so we should show them. B, we all know you can memorize a song and cues in one night. And besides we al-"

He was cut off when Nina burst in, waving the music triumphantly in the air.     "I found it! Kaz! It'll be great! We'll pay you 50 kruge per 10 people! Pleaeeeeeeeese?"

"Could you Kaz? I'm not against getting a job, in fact, we all should, but I think it would be neat. Besides, you might really enjoy it. We all think you should have some kind of fun"       Inej cocked her head after her input, and Wylan nodded.              "Yeah, Kaz, it could be fun!"

He mulled over it for a moment, then looked at Jesper.   "Per 5 people. 10 kruge. "

"Done."

"Done."

============================The Shoooooooooow =================================

"OOOOOOkay everybody!"     Jesper strode across the stage after the first two songs, grabbing a mic from a stagehand.   " So, I know all of you have been wondering who the sixth Crow is haven't' you?"     He was greeted to quite a bit of screeching.      "Well,   he continued,    Since before tonight, he's been managing the bank account, signing us up for these gigs with you awesome people, ( He winked at the crowd there ) and pretty much keeping us all sane. Well, Kinda."   The audience laughed. 

"So I'd like  to introduce the sixth Crow, and new lead singer, leading us away from bankruptcy and into a brand new song, KaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaZ Brekker!"

Kaz strutted out on to the stage, previous butterflies forgotten. ( A/N If ya want that tidbit where he starts freaking out and Inej calms him down, tell me )

He grinned at the audience, looking slightly evil as he picked up a mic and started singing. 

( Cue song in here. It's by Jeremy Renner and Erik Zayne and it's soooo good! Very Kaz song, doncha think? )

When the song ended,  the crowd went nuts, screaming and clapping like crazy people, applauding the band and the newest addition, screaming their names in a multitude of voices. 

Kaz brought his finger to his lips, effectively silencing the entire room.   " Thank you very much. Now, these lunatics behind me said that I was supposed to say something, so, something. I don't do impromptu much. "      This earned him ( More )  fangirls and laughs.  He smirked and then finished, saying,  " Well, the lights a-blinking. Better get off the stage. If you want to tip the band, one of us will always be backstage. Thank you for coming, and enjoy the rest of the night."

Then he stopped, turned around mid-stride and......

Dropped the mic.
