It was just a normal day when this had all started

No serial killers or shady prep students, just four friends going to their favorite restaurant.

Betty and Jughead had broken up. Surprisingly, there was no tension and they were very good friends, and Betty was now dating Archie Andrews. Veronica was resentful towards Archie at first, but she then realized how much Archie had loved Betty.

And as for Veronica's love life, she was currently dating Jughead.

And she had to say, she, was glad she had moved on from Archie. Veronica had truly never felt anything near this with Archie.

She wouldn't go as far as to say she was in love, but she was definitely happy.

The four were sitting at Pop's and Archie suddenly said, "It feels nice to have a moment to sit down, not having to worry about any type of mystery."  They all nodded in agreement and Betty added

"We have a lot of time until school's over, and I wanna spend that time being there for eachother, and not trying to hunt people down or running away from danger."  She said softly, and Veronica couldn't help but grin at her and nod in agreement. Betty was feisty, but her soft, kindhearted nature, is what caused people to get attached to her.

"You know that's not possible, Betty, we'll always be a bit special. Especially with Jughead over here searching for more mystery like we haven't had enough." Veronica rolled her eyes teasingly, to which he chuckled abashedly.

"It's not my fault I don't want to have the same boring routine. Besides, with how crazy this town is of course there's gonna be some mystery, might as well be ready for it." He shrugged.

Veronica figured he had a point. She herself never lived a normal life (She was a Lodge, after all), but after everything, she just wanted to try and pretend.

"Of course we'll be ready." She scoffed. "But let's not go out looking for it, okay? Let's just, try to live? Even if we have to pretend a bit. Promise?"

Betty nodded softly, nudging Archie who shook his head in agreement as well.

"No more going out for mystery." They all said in unison, and as they noticed Pop closing down the store, they cleared out.

"Well, we'll see you guys tomorrow. Me and VV wanted to go on a walk." Jughead said to Betty and Archie who smiled at him, and waved their goodbyes. Just as Veronica was going to wave back, her vision faded to black, and she plummeted forward towards the ground.
