*Sorry for being gone for so long!*

Veronica felt her breath get caught in her throat as she heard the sound of wheels squeaking against the floor. Archie wrapped his strong arms around them in an attempt to protect them, though Veronica could feel him quivering. She put a cold hand on Jughead's raw knuckles, trying to soothe him, and ignore the fear that rose up in her.

A person walked in.

They had on a spotless white lab coat, that seemed to hang all the way until there shiny black shoes.

A white mask hung on there head, obscuring there face.

Archie was the first to speak, his bold voice showing no fear, but his hands telling another story.

"What do you want from us?!"

Veronica thought what they had wanted was simple.

She had been in many hostage-situations before. What would you expect when your father was one of the richest people in the world?  She had lost friends before due to them being kidnapped as bait for Veronica and her father's money.

Sometimes they let her friends free, sometimes they didn't.

Veronica thought that they just wanted her money.

Why else would they kidnap her friends?

Veronica had been through this routine so many times she could recite the lines that every one of the kidnappers said.

But she felt more scared than she ever had.

They weren't all just, 'friends'. They had been through so much together.

Losing them would break her.

"Veronica Lodge. Stand up."

The person's voice was gravely and sophisticated, definitely a guy.

Veronica looked at her friends, the horror spelled out on her face.

The man cleared his throat.

"Stand up, I will not say it again." The voice was calm, but the threat was made known.

Veronica bolted to her feet, scrambling up and taking in every detail of him, trying her best to remember every little thing about him if she made it out alive.

"Come to me." The voice was back.

"V, don't. We don't know what the hell he could do." Betty said, and she could feel Jughead grip the ends of her black dress from where she was sitting, as if he was forbidding her. She could also see Archie tense up from the corner of her eye.

Veronica looked at their mask, trying to look past the mask and into the unknown eyes, challenging them, daring them to do something.

If she was going to die, she was at the very least going to make sure her boyfriend and friends were okay.

Veronica took very slow steps, not making any sudden movements to provoke him.
Her shoes clacked against the ground, causing a silent echo in the dark of the cave-like area. Soon enough, she was face to face with him.

Without looking away from Veronica's terrified gaze he grabbed a syringe and quickly stabbed beneath Veronica's shoulder.

Pain exploded through her down to the tips of her arm's, and she sucked a breath in at the searing pain.

"Uhh." Veronica said faintly, her head spinning, her own breathing sounding loud in her ears.

She was no longer on a face-to-face view with the person, and her knees throbbed.

She put two and two together and realized she had fell to her knees.

Her pupil's rolled back past the white of her eyes and she made an unearthly sound.

She felt wet her face.

Blood

The last thing she heard was her friends cry's of despair
