Ashley's POV
"So this guy said to go with maid's bus in the morning?" Lilian asked.
I nodded before biting into my pepperoni pizza.
"Well I'm glad for you" she said and I smiled brightly, she smiled as well but it didn't look real so I knew something was wrong.
"Ashley, I don't want to sour your mood or anything....but being a maid doesn't officially exclude you from working in the clubs."
You've got to be kidding me!
"Like me, I work as maid in the mansion but I do take a few shifts in the club." she continued,
"What do you do in the club?" I asked although I already had an idea.
"What do you think?" she questioned raising an eyebrow.
I swore under under my breath, here I was thinking the 'private dancer' thing was history.
"But don't worry, it's not going to be a regular thing." she said, I shrugged and went back to eating my pizza.
"Did you other these?" I asked pointing to the extra pizza box, I wanted to get my mind off my present situation and focus on the amazing pizza we were eating.
"Nuh-uh" she replied, "they're the remains from the welcome dinner more like banquet"
"Welcome dinner?" I asked.
She nodded, "The boss' brother came back this afternoon, the dinner was a form of welcoming him back to the mansion."
So he has a brother, I wonder if he's the scarier or calmer of the two.
"Does he have other family members?" I asked curiously,
She nodded" Apart from Sir Alessio; his brother, there's Lady Aurora she's their elder sister and then the Madame; their mother," I noticed the smile that crept on her face when she mentioned their mother.
"I guess you're fond of their mother" I remarked, "you're smiling so much."
She blushed and looked away, "she's the nicest of the Fenilio family, the mother I never had, when I was sold here she took care of me. She personally handed me to violet and always came by to visit."
I wanted to believe Lilian but what kind of a loving and nice mother allows her son to run such a business, from what I heard although it was from books and movies the Mafia is run by cold, heartless and dangerous people so she couldn't be far off.
I decided not to voice my opinion because Lilian looked genuinely happy, I'll just have to meet this woman in person before judging her.
"So why was his brother away?" I asked changing the subject.
"Work. He runs the legal businesses so is away must of the time but from what I heard, he's here to stay permanently." she replied.
Legal businesses?
Like a cover-up for their illegal ones?!
