I open up my laptop and I freeze. Can I really do this? I have to confess to these women who I've become close to, that the person they've been speaking to is not who they thought it was. What if they are disappointed? Fear takes over and I go to shut the laptop, as I do my husband takes my hand and opens it again. "Come on, you can do this. They'll love you."
He strokes my hand reassuringly, and I nod. I open it back up and log into Facebook.

I click on the Live button. "Hello everyone, I am very sorry that I am not who you were expecting. Sam is a neighbor of mine, and she let me set up this group using her account." I can see the comments below, they are going crazy. "Oh my god, where is Sam?!" "OMG!" "I did not expect this!" I still feel very nervous but I carry on, "I just wanted to come on here and say thank you. 20th Century Fox have picked up my trilogy and there is a possibility that they will want to turn it into a film. I'm so excited, I had to share this with all of you. If there is a premiere, you will all be invited to it!" The comments are so lovely and supportive, I can't believe I was nervous about this. I smile and say, "I have a very special person who would like to say something to you too. Adam, come over here and say hello." My husband, Adam, sits next to me and I can see the comments going wild. "OMG, it's Joanne Tucker and Adam Driver!" "We have been talking to Joanne this whole time!" I'm starting to tear up, Adam smiles at me and says to the group, "Thank you all so much for the love and support that you've shown Joanne, I couldn't be more proud of her. Thank you for supporting me too, you have no idea how much it means to me. One day we will all arrange to meet up, I can promise you that." We both say our goodbyes and end the live video.

"Oh my god, I can't believe we just did that," I say to Adam, my husband. He runs his fingers through his thick black hair, "I know, but I think we've made a few people happy tonight, right?" He grins at me and I smile too. It's crazy to think that these people got to know me and they like me for me. Not because of who I am or who I am married to, I'm sure we will all stay friends with each other.
"Adam, I have something to tell you. I didn't want to announce it on the group before I told you first." He nods, "Ok, go ahead babe." I take a deep breath, "I'm pregnant." I can't stop the tears, they just flow from my eyes. "Jo, I am so happy. This is the best news ever. Our son will have a little brother or sister." He embraces me and I just stay there safe in his arms, I am so unbelievably happy. I've got everything I ever wanted.
