Cars began to blare loudly in the distance. They were now entering New York again. It had only been a matter of hours since they left. Nothing had changed since they left except for the perspective of the sun. Karai sighed.

"I never thought I would miss the city. Sure, it was nice being free but I missed this scenery." Karai exclaimed a smile appearing on her face. Leo glanced down at Karai and smiled.

"Cmon. I think Splinter would love to see you." Leo explained, pulling Karai to the sewers. Though, she didn't budge. Leo ended up being pulled back, causing him to land on his face.

"N-No. I'm not going." Karai stuttered. Leo looked at her confused.

"But you were so excited to come back. Why don't you want to see your true father?" Leo asked. Karai looked to the ground.

"I just don't. Not yet at least." Karai let go of Leo's hand and turned her back to him in fear. Leo walked up next to Karai and tried to sooth her.

"It'll be okay. Why are you acting so strange?" Leo asked, laying his hand onto Karai's shoulder. Karai sighed and looked back at Leo.

"I'm scared of what he's going to do. I attacked him. I don't want him to think of me as a monster! Because that's all I am." Karai explained, a few tears welling down her face. Leo's eyes went wide.

"Karai. There was nothing you could do. The mutagen was messing with your head which caused you to do things you couldn't control. It wasn't your fault. And you are not a monster. You are the greatest warrior I have ever met." Leo soothed. Karai looked back up at Leo and smiled.

"Thanks." She stated. Then, she grabbed his hand and rushed over to the sewers, not knowing what awaited her.

As they walked to the sewers, Leo started sending something weird. And it wasn't good. He looked down at Karai and grabbed her arm to make her stop.

"Wait. I'm sensing something...strange. I don't know what it is though." Leo peeked around the corner of a rundown apartment and to his surprise, cams face to face with the one and only Shredder. Leo screamed and stepped back. He pulled out his katanas and stared Shredder dead in the eye.

Karai was confused. She was about two feet away from Leo so she couldn't see what Leo was seeing. She took a few steps forward when suddenly, Leo was shot backwards towards a car. The alarm of the car immediately went off, causing many people to scatter away screaming. The worst part was that it was in pure daylight meaning anyone could see him.

Shredded walked out of the dark ally way and up to Leo. He picked him up in midair and began strangle him by the neck.

Panicked, Karai stood in one place, unsure of what to do. She didn't want to face Shredder and then get captured again. But she had to save Leo someway.

She dropped to the ground in a painful way and came back up as a white python. She hissed loudly to get Shredder's attention. Shredder whipped his head around and was immediately thrown to the ground. Leo fell to the ground as well but was to weak to move. He was struggling to breath and his soul had somewhat left his body.

As Karai continued to attack Shredder, she saw Leo laying unconscious on the ground. She gasped and immediately turned back to a human.

"Leo!" She yelled. Shredder was a bit confused by immediately grabbed Karai and threw her to the ground. Karai grunted harshly as she hit the ground.

"My daughter. Please forgive me. I beg of you." Shredder pleaded. As Karai laid on the ground, she glanced back at Leo who had slowly opened his eyes. He shook his head slowly, feeling nothing but pain build up in his body. Karai looked back up at Shredder and growled.

"I. Am. Not. Your. Daughter!" She yelled while kicking Shredder off of her. She stood up quickly and ran to Leo's aid. He wrapped his arm around Karai's shoulders and the two got away quickly. As soon as Shredder sat up, they were gone.
