i woke up to mattia playing with my hair.
a comfortable silence filled the room.
"mattia" i whispered
"hm?"
"i love you"
"i love you too"
the next week was filled with reoccurring events.
sleepovers, school work, some sneaking out.
we were all at our best, but the same thought was buried in the back of everyones mind.
we leave in a week.
one week, that's all we had left here.
i guess you could say not too much would change, we all went to the same school and we were closer than ever.
mattia and i would get to meet each other's parents.
alexis, stella and i were no longer a trio, we had three other 'members' of our group now.
life back home wouldn't be so bad but it did hurt to think that we'd be leaving soon.
this is the place that started it all for us.
so we'd make the most of the week we had left.
"macy can i talk to you?"

my jaw dropped

i chuckled
"i knew from the start y'all were meant for each other"
he smiled

"okay well asking her out is a good place to start, take her on a date."
he nodded
"make it special, you two deserve it"
"you and mattia, then alexis and ale. time fit stella and i to complete it all"
"you're stupid"
"hush and go get your girl"
we walked back to the others, we were doing a full group project today.
"what were you two bimbos talking about?"
mattia said wrapping his arms around my waist.
"him and stella" i smiled
"he wants to ask her out and tell her that he loves her"
he grinned from ear to ear.
"kinda reminds me of us" he whispered
"damn it really does"
he pecked my lips before continuing to jot down some notes.
"alright kiddos wrap it up, we're heading back to the hotel in 2"
one of the administrators announced.
our group gathered our things and started heading towards the bus.
"ms.harrison could you stay behind for just a second please"
i nodded
he pulled me to the side.
"macy, i have received an 'anonymous tip' as one might call it."
i looked at him puzzled
"it's come to my attention that you and your boyfriend mr.mattia polibio have been sneaking out, leaving the property without permission and things along those lines"
my heart sunk
"i assume you know the consequences for your actions-"
"it wasn't mattia"
"excuse me?"
"just me, only i've been sneaking out mr.briars i know it sounds odd but sometimes i just need to get away"
he nodded
"that's good to know. thank you for being honest , unfortunately we'll be sending you home. you know what's expected of you and you know that this is not okay"
i nodded and got on the bus
the group looked at me with a concerned look.
"i'm going home."
