macy's pov
6:30am
alexis, stella and i walked through the school's double doors hauling our suit cases behind us. we all hated school but it was the end of junior year and the day of our schools europe trip and everyone was ecstatic. we made our way to the cafeteria to get our groups. the way the trip was planned allowed us girls to be together which thrilled us. we were allowed to pick two people of the same sex to room with which made those same people apart of the same group, three more people would be assigned to that group. obviously alexis, stella and i were together. same room, same group but we had no clue who the other people in our group were and that's what we were about to find out.
"i don't know about y'all but i'm nervous as hell" stella told us
"girl we all are i swear to god if i get stuck with some weird ass kids i'm going to kill someone"
i laughed listening to the two bicker.
"guys come on we have to go sign in" i giggled
we all laughed and walked to the sign in table, giving our names to the lady.
"thanks ladies, take a seat at table 7"
the girls and i looked at each other, annoyed we still didn't know who our other group members were but made our way to the table anyways. i took a seat with a sigh pulling my phone out.
'6:52' my phone read
"i'm so damn tired" i groaned slamming my head down
after a minute of silence i sat up wondering why i got no reply.
"so are y'all just going to ignore me or-"
i sat up to three, very attractive boys sitting at our table.
"hey" the tallest one smiled
the girls and i gave each other THAT look.
he was cute.
"i'm mattia that's kairi and that's alejandro"
"sooo you boys can't talk for yourselves?" stella questioned
we all laughed.
"so i assume you guys are our other group members?"
the boys nodded and i smiled at my friends, knowing we got lucky.
"okay so i'm macy that's-"
stella cut me off "bitch i talk for myself HEYYY IM STELLA"
"chile anyways, i'm alexis"
we laughed at their craziness
"so what happens now?" kairi questioned
we all shrugged having no clue what to do next.
"the lady that helped us at the sign in table will probably tell us our bus numbers or something" i explained
"yeah" mattia piped in "y'all think we'll be on the same bus?"
i nodded, as a couple of "yeah's" were heard around the table.
"probably on the same plane too, right?" alejandro asked
"most likely, it's probably easier for them to keep the groups together" i explained
we talked about all the generic "get to know you" stuff considering we all got along well and needed to get to know each other if we were going to be spending three weeks in europe together.
before we knew it, it was time to leave for the airport. teachers started coming around giving each group a schedule with all the important information on it.
i picked it up and ran my eyes over it.
"this is a lot of information holy shit"
"lemme see" mattia said gently taking it from me
"ight so yeah we basically do everything as a group, same bus, same plane and all that"
i smiled to myself thinking off all the memories yet to be made on this trip.
suddenly an announcement came over the loud speaker
"all juniors going on the junior europe trip report to your busses"
"mattia what bus are we?"
"number 227-"
before he could even get his whole sentence out everyone shot out of there seats and ran to their busses.
"damn they're excited" i laughed dragging mattia outside with the others .
we walked onto the bus to see ale and kairi sitting next to each other across from alexis and stella all the way in the back.
"so it's like that?" he said sitting in the seat in front of the boys. i giggled and sat next to him receiving a text shortly after.

i rolled my eyes and peered over the seat, making room for mattia so we could join the conversation. we got to know each other more, even gossiped about some people before everyone got tired. unfortunately, our airport was an hour and a half away from our school so we had more time than we thought. soon it got silent and everyone was either asleep or close to it. i got comfortable and closed my eyes, mattia did the same and before i knew it i was asleep.
time skip
i woke up to the soft snores of mattia, my head laid on his shoulder. sitting up immediately i looked at alexis and stella who were smiling eagerly. i rolled my eyes and looked out the window to see our bus pulling into the airport parking lot.
"mattia get up we're here" i whispered
he opened his eyes and smiled at me before standing up like everyone else. our chaperone told everyone to get with their groups and find their gate so that's what we planned on doing.
"bruh i cant believe we're going to europe" i said walking off the bus
"same" stella said agreeing "we've been looking forward to this trip since like middle school" i saw a couple head nods as we grabbed our bags and waited for the rest of the buses to arrive which wasn't that long of a wait. we then walked into the the airport, checked in and made our way to the gate.
"wait guys check your tickets, where's everyone sitting?" alexis asked
we compared tickets and ended up being pretty happy with our seats.
"oh bettt macy, stella and i are all in the same row" mattia smiled
"and the boys and i are in the row across from you" alexis added in
i smiled at stella realizing this was another chance for me to be around mattia.
"gate number 7 is now boarding"
realizing that was our gate we stood up and got in line to get on the plane.
"want to sit next to each other?" mattia asked me
"sure" i smiled
we made our way to our seats, knowing we had a long ride ahead of us. stella slid in first, claiming the window seat while i slid in after her and mattia after me.
"does this plane have free wifi?
cause i'm
about to be bored as hell"
kairi told mattia
i laughed and turned to stella.
"mattia is so cute" i whispered to her
"okay but look at kairi doe"
my jaw dropped as i realized what she meant.
"YOU LIKE KAIRI" i whisper-yelled
"we just met calm yourself"
"you didn't deny it"
"shut up"
i laughed as everyone started to get comfortable.
"i cant believe we're going to be on this plane for so damn long" i said trying to distract myself. planes have always made me nervous, alexis and stella knew but the boys of course had no clue.
"you okay?" mattia asked "your leg is shaking a lot"
"yeah um-"
"planes make her nervous" alexis yelled from across the isle
i rolled my eyes and looked at my feet
"it's okay planes kinda freak me out too" he chuckled
i smiled and pulled out my phone, not thinking about my circumstances until i felt the plane rumble. my whole body tensed up until mattia grabbed my hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.
"it's okay" he mouthed
i took mattia's words to heart looking out the window for comfort. not too long after i saw that stella was already asleep, along with mattia, alexis and kairi. i chuckled looking at all of them. no one else was awake besides alejandro who was too far away to talk to so i put in my airpods and fell asleep looking forward to what was coming.
