*after school*

I was driving home for a while. I had my playlist going, the one I made that makes me feel like the main character. Usually, I would roll down the windows and sing but now since I am a Hider I couldn't do that.

I finally got home. My parents weren't home yet, so I had the place to myself. My brother was hanging out with his friends, so he wasn't home either. With my parents at work and my brother at his friend's house, I could do whatever I wanted. That got me thinking. Finally, I came to the decision that I wanted to go shopping. I got in my car and drove to the mall.

*at the mall*

I know I was going against the rules my parents had layed out, but it didn't matter. 

I was walking between stores outside when someone yelled, "The Seekers are coming!" what? I thought. I ran into the nearest store. It looked empty, but I knew it was just because everyone was hiding. I ran behing one of the clothing racks and ducked down. I heard people talking outside. 

I had to admit, the Seekers were smart. A mall is one of the best places to hunt Hiders because they were all close together, and there were a lot of them at the mall.

I heard someone walk into the store. It was a girl. She looked a little older than me. She walked around, looking behid counters and in cabinets and in between clothes. She walked right by me. I shut my eyes tight and tried to silence my breathing. Someone called her name. "Isabella?" they called. "Coming" she yelled, and ran out of the store. "Theres no one in there." She said, out of breath from running out the store.

When she left, I sighed of relief. That was so close. I was never going to disobey my parents again.
