Scott sat alone in his room fiddling with his lacrosse stick, just thinking about how fast the past year had gone by, and how much had happened. He walked up to his cupboard and opened the doors, he pulled out a shoebox that was at the very back of his drawer. Inside was a picture, of Allison. He stood there for a moment, looking at her picture, and he couldn't stop the tear that escaped and rolled down his cheek. Then suddenly his mum walked in.
"Scott honey, are you ready? We're leaving for the Lydia's New Year party in a few minutes."
Scott quickly wiped away the tears from his eyes and started to put Allison's picture back into the box. Seeing this Melissa rushed to his side. She grabbed ahold of his hand and stopped him.
"Scott, just because she's gone that doesn't mean you have to put Allison away."
I know, it's just... when I'm with Kira, I feel like I'm forgetting about Allison, and I don't wanna do that, I don't want to forget her, I just can't." Scott said as he sat down on his bed, and Melissa sat beside him.
"Sweetie you won't, even if you're with Kira, you will never forget Allison, she will always be with you, right here." Melissa said placing her hand on Scott's chest just above his heart."
Scott couldn't smile because it was too painful.
"But what if she thinks I'm betraying her, with Kira. I still love her mom, I never stopped, I should've told her that when I had the chance." Scott said as he began to tear up again.
"Scott I think Allison would be happy for you, happy that you're moving on, happy for everything you've done, you saved so many lives Scott, including your own. Loosing Allison was something I wish you never had to go through, but it's made you stronger."
There was a moment of silence, and then Melissa got up walked towards the door and just as she was about to leave she said "I'm gonna head on over to Lydia's house, you take your time and meet me there."
After Scott's mom had left he wandered around his room for a little, he looked at Allison's picture and said "I'm sorry."
As Scott placed Allison's picture back in his cupboard, he started to feel it, the guilt.
He kept thinking if it wasn't for Peter, if he hadn't been bit, none of this would've happened. No alpha pack, no dark druids, no sacrifices and most importantly, no nogitsunes. "She would still be alive" those five words kept repeating in Scott's head as he walked out of his room and headed to his bike. The year had come to an end, and all Scott had within him was regret.
