Context: Origins when Marinette first receives her Miraculous (sort of I think. It's hard to write something that has nothing to do with the song I'm basing it on while sticking as close to the lyrics as possible but I'll try. I hope you enjoy!)
Marinette couldn't believe what was happening. She refused to believe what the little red, bug-mouse, kwami thing was saying. It was only going to cause trouble for her, and she achieved that well enough on her own. There were so many reasons to just ignore the creature, to ignore the pull she felt towards those small red earrings. She wished it would all just go away and she wouldn't have to worry about it anymore. Maybe it was just a bad dream.
She denied all that the creature said: it wasn't real. Just a figment of her imagination. It was all too much for her to comprehend anyway. If she accepted what the kwami said, she'd risk her life as well as the lives of her family. She had no intention of letting that happen while she could prevent it.
She was content to blend in with the crowd and live her life as she normally did. She didn't need the uncomfortable feeling of the spotlight being on her, which would happen if she put the earrings in and said the magic words. She sighed. She was afraid of the risk involved if she stepped outside of her comfort zone. This would be a huge step after all.
And yet she found herself in a spotted costume. She had taken the leap of faith, literally as of 2 minutes later.
-a bit of a time skip to after she takes out the earrings in Origins part 2 I believe? It's been awhile don't kill me-
Marinette couldn't sleep. She kept glancing over at the earrings. She thought about all of the mistakes she had made because of the step she took. She then thought about the freedom the anonymity gave her. She was a different person with the mask on. And she sort of liked that person. She sighed and turned to face the wall. She didn't want to admit that apart of her wanted to accept the call for good. She thought about swinging above the Paris rooftops earlier that day. It was so exhilarating and so, freeing. She remembered that feeling of when she thought she defeated the villain. She smiled for a second. The confidence it gave her was incredible, but ultimately, she failed. She finally fell asleep.
Marinette found herself in a horrible situation. Everything was going wrong. The world needed her new superhero alias. Adrenaline coursed through her veins as she took the earrings out of Alya's bag and put them back in her ears.
When Marinette locked eyes with those of her kwami, a thousand unspoken words passed through them. Marinette showed that she knew she needed to do this, but she didn't think she was strong enough too at this point. She would need Tikki to guide her as well as she could through the suit. Tikki wordlessly reassured her that everything would be fine and that she believed in her. Without anymore hesitation, Marinette called her transformation and became the superhero that saved Paris.
A/N: ok so I strayed a little bit from the lyrics of the song to try and make this make more sense but, I give up for now. I'm gonna post this now and if I choose to edit it for grammar purposes, then I'll do that later but for now I'll post it. I hope you guys enjoyed it! It was fun to write albeit a bit more difficult than I originally intended. At least I finally wrote something!! I hope you have a wonderful day! :)
