The Perks Of Having An Older Brother

Let the festivities begin

" Jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way oh what fun it is to ride on a one horse open sleight hey!"

"Ben shut up you'll scare lily!"
I screamed back at my ever so annoying brother.

It was finally Christmas morning, one of the most exciting mornings for most children and in bens case, immature adults. To be fair , I didn't care about the presents or the food I was just happy to be able to spend good quality time with my mum and younger sister. My mums job meant that she was away a lot, traveling to different countries such as Italy and America for large business deals and often had to bring Lils with her.

After getting showered and dressed I went to get Lily out of her room and carried , the sleepy child, down the spiral stair case to the kitchen to make pancakes for the rest of the Green clan.
I found her festive jumper to match mine (it had a snowman on the front ) and told her to stand outside the living room door in which our presents from Santa were placed.

Once mum and ben were ready we skipped into the room , with big smiles placed on our faces, to the pile of presents which were sitting with our stockings.

Half an hour later we had reached our final present, which was also the largest, Bens were signed green day merchandise and keys to a brand new mint green vespa. Lils got a 3 story play house which was crazy, if I had had that as a child I would never have left it. As for me there was a note in it which said "take a look in the garage".

Once I reached the garage, a scream of excitement and happiness escaped my mouth. There was an Audi A8, which had been my dream car ever since I could remember, my mum came over and handed me the keys In which I snatched off her and grasped her in a tight hug.

Hoping in, I went off for a test drive, well to Luke's house so I could show off the beautiful creation. Once I arrived I saw the exact same car as mine parked in the drive and Luke standing with a confused expression on his face.

"Did we get matching cars?"
Luke stating the obvious as usual.

We looked at his patents, who had a knowing smirk on there face.

"We did!" Both of us said at once.

"Merry Christmas love." Luke said whilst hugging me. " love you nix."

Love you too Luke even though you stink" I replied.

A few hours later the boys were round at ours. Stuffing their faces with Christmas dinner, which my mother and I had slaved over for hours. After they were done with that we went up to mine and bens shared den to swap gifts. Ben had got him and the guys all tickets to a football game which they all seemed to be happy enough about. Luke got me a Polaroid camera on which he had already taken a few selfies which he made sure he put in the box. He got his friend and band mates matching ugly Christmas sweaters with reindeers and bells on their antlers. Calum bought us all t shirts with his face on them saying the sexiest man on earth.

" Boys I've got your gifts in the boot of my car if you want to go get them."

Michael sent the boys off to fetch their presents and began edging towards me.

" I wanted the boys to be away while I give you your gift, I didn't want them to think I'm some sap."

Out of his pocket came a small rectangular blue box wrapped in a small piece of ribbon.

"Here, if you don't like it it's fine I'll take it back."

I grasped it in my hands, and undone the ribbon. Inside the box lay a gold heart shaped locket .

"Michael it's beautiful, thank you so so much."

Tears began to well up in my eyes as in the locket there was a picture of the whole gang the day we met, and a selfie me and mikey took a few weeks back.

I pounced on Michael, hugging him as tight as I possibly could. When I move my head away still hugging him out faces began to get closer and closer together and just as our lips were about to touch.

" OH MY GOD Michael we love them!"

The boys all shouted in unison. The next thing I saw was Calum, Luke and Ashton in matching ninja turtle costumes and trailing along behind them was my brother in a penis costumes. I couldn't breathe I was laughing too hard.

"Omg Michael I love you that's hilarious."

All the other boys brushed of the comment but Michael cheeks began to blush at it. If anything my feelings for Michael were becoming stronger and after our near kiss I was smitten. Felling brave for some reason I whispered in Michaels ear.

" Meet me in my room once they have all gone to sleep"

And then I walked off to my room.
