chapter 32

The wedding- (part 1)

The day of their wedding had finally arrived which Shawn and Camila both had been excitedly yet nervously waiting for a while now.

Shawn was in his room, almost ready in his black suit when Karen knocked on the door. He opened the door and his mother beamed at him.

"Wow! When did my little boy grow up?" Karen said as a tears started rolling down her cheeks.

"Aww mom...please don't cry!" Shawn said engulfing his mom in a hug.

"You'll not understand it now, they're tears of joy." Karen said now laughing and crying at the same time.

"Now, I'm gonna see my daughter in law." Karen said dramatically.

"Mom, wait." Shawn said before handing her a package.

"You remember this is your necklace that you gave me to give it to the one. Now today I want you to give it to Camila." He said smiling at his mom.

"Okay." Karen said taking the package with her.

As Karen exited the room, Sinu entered.
"Hey mijo! You look so handsome." Sinu said before pulling Shawn in a warm hug.

"Thank you mama!"
"Here, mila told me to give you this." Sinu said handling him a bag.

Inside the bag was a beautiful collage filled with the pictures of both of them and inside was a note.

Shawn smiled at both the gift and her note.

"We're waiting for you Shawn." Joe called out and he knew this meant he had to go out now.

Camila's pov:

I was getting ready when Karen came in.
"Hey Karen!" I greeted her.
"Wow...you look so beautiful. My son sure will be floored." Karen commented with a bright smile on her face.

"Here, Camila turn around, this is my necklace which I had given to Shawn so that he can give it to his forever." Karen said.

"Wow...it's gorgeous." Camila said. She loved the simplicity yet the royalty of the necklace and hell the way it went with her dress.

"Mila, you ready?" Sinu asked offering her hand to her daughter.

"Yes mami." Camila said giving her hand to her mom.

Camila had decided that she'd ask her mom to walk her down the aisle, even though she had a great father figure like Alejandro, she knew whatever she was today it was all because of her mom. For her, she was both her mother as well as father.

Third person's pov:

Shawn was already on the front, her eyes searching desperately for his bride.
And when he saw her it felt like he was reliving the moment he saw her for the first time at that bar, all the air got knocked out of his lungs. She looked ethereal, he was left mesmerized , with her every step towards him his heart started thumping faster as a tear rolled down his cheek. Sometimes he couldn't believe this girl with such pure heart and soul was his. Looking at her in this moment felt like heaven while all the memories of them were reeling inside his brain.

The moment Camila stopped in front of him, Sinu kissed Camila's forehead tenderly before embracing Shawn in a firm but tight hug.

Looking at Camila he couldn't help but immediately take her hand in his and mouthed the words beautiful to her.
Camila flashed him a beautiful smile before intervining their hands.

They looked towards the small gathering of the people they loved smiling at them.

"Shawn, I know I'm not an easy person to love. I tend to overthink tell I ruin a good thing, but you, you're the only one who make it seem so easy. I know you know my heart and I know yours, and you are the most beautiful person inside out. I love how you care about the people you love, I love how you take a stand not only for others but yourself too. I love how you don't give a fuck when it comes to what others would think. Sorry for swearing." She laughed before continuing, "You support me, you make me feel safe, you believe in me even in the times when I don't believe myself and you Shawn Mendes make me whole, complete. You love me with everything you have and I've never been loved this way, but I'm sure I can get used to this, definitely."

Shawn smiled at her before wiping the tears that had rolled down his cheeks listening to the most beautiful words he'd ever heard.
They both had decided not to write their vows but to describe each other by the words that came from their heart, which made their vows more special.

"Camila, you are the most amazing girl I've ever met, you're funny, smart, caring, sweet and loving. I love that you don't snap at people when you're going through something, you just smile and say nothing. You don't open up to everything, you just open up to those who you feel safe and content with and I'm so grateful that I'm one of those very few. I love that you're not like every girl, you're different in the most amazing way. I love how fierce and passionate you are about the things you care about. You Camila Cabello, make me the happiest I've ever been. You don't say I love you like a normal person instead you laugh, shake your head and say 'you are an idiot' and believe me I love to be that idiot. So, what I'm trying to say is that I know you think you're hard to love, but you know what's harder it is not to love you." He said showing off his most adorable dimply smile to her.

It was now Camila, Sinu and Karen who were wiping their tears away. Camila leaned in and pecked his cheek softly. While everyone did their little aww's.

"Having pledged your love and promise to one another today in front of all of your friends and family and by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife." The officiant spoke.

"You may now kiss the bride."
Shawn and Camila leaned in a slow, soft, sweet and loving first kiss as a married couple. This kiss was unlike the ones they've shared in the span of almost two years. It was passionate yet sweet, it was slow but yet more than enough to rock both their heads.
