So...I've read a LOT of double perspective books. In all of them, one of the characters either dies, almost-dies, or fake-dies. I would list them here, but most of the ones I'm talking about are sci-fi so you might not know what I'm talking about. But I'll take a popular book first. Take Divergent. We all know what happened there. And if you've read these great sci-fi books, you know what I'm talking about. Across the Universe, Illuminae Files, Starbound Trilogy, the Crewel trilogy, the Embrace series, etc etc. One of the "dies" things I listed has happened in all those books. I know I've read more but I can't remember them at the moment...but I feel like there's a possibility Keefe could die, or that he goes away from Sophie somehow. Because the point of the dual POV is so there's someone else who can tell the story, or to represent two different sides. What if Keefe feels like he can't train in this new ability and goes to Gisela for help? Then we'd get the story from two different perspectives, and not from Keefe telling Sophie what happened, like in Lodestar, which would make his experience seem...not like the first time, I guess. I want to say more but I don't know what to say on this XD

(Actually though, the majority of dual-POV books I've read, has the main character fake-die. So if Keefe (or...Sophie, but she's the moonlark and has to continue with the story) "dies", I would most likely have hope and hope that he fake-dies. Because SO many authors have used that heart-stopping technique and I'm pretty used to it by now 😂
